Imagine spending years with other people making choices for you.

Someone else set your alarm. Someone else picked what you ate. Someone else decided how every hour of your day would look.

Then, with the right support and lots of practice, things begin to change.

You try. You learn. You build confidence.

Suddenly, you are the one pouring your own cup of coffee. You are the one picking out your favorite shirt. You are the one deciding how your morning begins.

This is what real impact looks like.

It is about so much more than making breakfast or getting dressed. It is about taking control of your own life. It is the shift from having things done for you, to knowing you can do them yourself.

That pride doesn’t stop at the front door. It follows people into the workplace, out into the community, and into every goal they set for their future.

Every milestone reached and every challenge overcome leads right here: the quiet pride of waking up and owning your own day. Because real independence isn't just about doing things alone, it's about knowing that your choices, your voice, and your life belong entirely to you. ☕️✨

What’s one step you took that completely changed your confidence? We’d love to read your story below!

How will you be remembered? 🌟 Your will is a powerful tool to care for your family, friends, and the community you love.

This month, as part of Free Will Writing Month, you can receive a free consultation and simple will preparation from four participating local attorneys in Wabash, Indiana. The only requirement is including a bequest of at least $500 to a charity of your choice. We’d be incredibly honored if you chose Carey Services to be part of your legacy. It’s an easy way to make a lasting difference for our mission without giving anything today! 💙

Here’s how it works:
1️⃣ Choose a nonprofit to support (Consider Carey Services!)
2️⃣ Schedule a meeting with one of the four participating attorneys and mention “Write a Will Month.”
3️⃣ Meet with your attorney and complete your simple will.

Take advantage of this amazing opportunity to get your affairs in order and leave a legacy. Contact Carey Services, the Community Foundation of Wabash County, or a participating attorney today to get started!

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month ( ), and at Carey Services, we get to see the true iMPact of inclusive eMPloyment every single day!

A job is more than just a paycheck it’s about purpose, independence, and being a valued part of the community. Through our vocational rehabilitation initiatives like The Ampersand, The Kitchen CoMPany, and more, we witness firsthand how the right opportunity transforms lives. When businesses open their doors to individuals of all abilities, they don't just gain dedicated eMPloyees; they build a stronger, more neurodiverse, and deeply connected workforce.

This month, let's celebrate the incredible contributions of workers with disabilities and challenge more businesses to build inclusive teams!
