But when Paul was about to open his mouth, Gallio said to the Jews, “If it were a wrongdoing or vicious crime, O Jews, it would be reasonable for me to put up with you; but if there are questions about words and names and your own law, see to it yourselves; I am not willing to be a judge of these matters.”
— Acts 18:14-15

Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
— Jude 24-25

For the families who were out this week: Adventure Club Recap!

Central Truth: Who is satan and what does he do? Satan is a fallen angel who seeks to deceive mankind and dishonor God.

Satan is a liar, deceiver, tempter, and accuser. He prowls like a roaring lion, seeking to devour. But Satan is not God's equal, and he is not in control. He is a created being under God's authority.

Most importantly, Christ has already won the victory. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus defeated the works of the devil, and Satan's final judgment is certain.

So Christians don't need to live in fear of Satan. Instead, we are called to be sober-minded, be watchful, resist him, and stand firm in the faith.

Memory Verse:
“Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” — 1 Peter 5:8

Parents, we’ve put a take-home discussion in the comments with questions and Scripture to help you review the lesson together as a family this week.

When Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul was occupied with the word, testifying to the Jews that the Christ was Jesus. And when they opposed and reviled him, he shook out his garments and said to them, “Your blood be on your own heads! I am innocent. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”

And the Lord said to Paul one night in a vision, “Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent, for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many in this city who are my people.”
