🏈 Middle School Thundercatz Recap🏈

The middle school Marion-Tigerton Thundercatz football team took on the visiting Tri-County Penguins in our first game of the season on Thursday, September 3. We have over 20 players in grades 6-8 on our team. All of the eligible players were able to get into the game on either offense, defense or special teams. We have a few new players that were not able to play yet. Both the offense and defense played very well throughout the game. On offense, we had success on the ground and through the air. We scored touchdowns utilizing both methods. On defense, our players were getting to the ball quickly and making sure tackles. We even had a pick 6 touchdown by one of our linebackers. At half, the Thundercatz were up 20-0. The final score was 38-6. Overall, the coaches Cathy Zygarlicke, Tim Mehlberg and I are very pleased with how our team played. We are hoping that our players will continue to work hard and play well on the road as we take on the Wild Rose Wildcats on Tuesday, September 8th at 5:00 PM.
