We’re getting ready for this summer’s adventures. Come check us out the month of June as we will be out and about with our live reptiles.
* June 6th Woofstock @ Chilhowie town park from 10am-2pm.
* June 13th Hungry Mother State Park @ 8pm

We will share how some of our native reptiles have played a role in Appalachian culture & history.
* June 16th Tazewell County Library (Nuckolls Hall @ the fairgrounds) @ 6pm
“When Lizards do their thing!" What could lizards do that snakes could not? YES, the snakes and tortoise will be there to take up for themselves, lol.
* June 18th Washington County Libraries (Damascus @ 11am & Abingdon @ 3pm)

Come join us this afternoon at New River Trail State Park's "Foster Falls Harvest Festival". Our animal presentation will be from 3-4 at the amphitheater. We will be looking at how our native reptiles have played a role in Appalachian history.

Wow-wee it's a week filled with animal presentations. Wednesday we will be at Creek Critter Camp at Dunford Park in Tazewell from 10am-12:00pm (outdoors), followed by the Fries Public Library at 2pm for their summer reading program (indoors). Thursday we will be at the Independence Public Library at 4pm for their summer ready program (indoors). Next, we will be at 5 Bridges Wellness Fair at Hungry Mother State Park on Friday from 10am-2:00pm (outdoors), and finally at New River Trail State Park this Saturday at 3pm at Dannelly/Cliffview Campground in Galax (outdoors). Come join us if you can! All outdoor programs duration, although under shelters, will be based on temperatures, if it’s over 80, we may not be able to be there the whole time due to risking our reptile's health.

WOW! Over 148 people came out to our first summer reading program of the year. Thank you, Wythe County Public Library for having us the past Tuesday. We will be at the Abingdon Public Library tomorrow at 11am for another summer reading program, and at Hungry Mother State Park for Culture Day this Saturday at 5pm. Come join us if you can!
