Marion Fire – 2025 Year in Review

In 2025, the Marion Fire Department responded to 73 total calls for service. Of those, 29 were fire-related incidents and 2 were motor vehicle accidents, with the remaining calls consisting of various other service and assistance responses.

In addition to emergency response, training remained a major focus. Members completed a total of 1,083 hours of training throughout the year. This included 720 hours dedicated to Firefighter I and II certification, completed by six members, strengthening the department’s operational readiness and long-term capabilities.

Our Christmas tree at Tieszen Memorial Home is truly something special this year. A huge thank you to the Marion grade school kids for coloring the paper ornaments — they are absolutely amazing!
