Community Exhibition – Call for Artists in Lake County, Illinois and neighboring communities.

Submission deadline: Monday, June 1, 2026

Dandelion Gallery & Studio is excited to announce an upcoming community-centered exhibition celebrating identity, resilience, and self-expression through fashion, visual art, and performance.

Inspired by the powerful reflections of Pride Month and Juneteenth, this exhibition will highlight themes of liberation, healing, and visibility—creating space for voices, stories, and creativity that deserve to be seen and celebrated.

Submissions are encouraged from individuals representing diverse and underrepresented perspectives, including but not limited to:
- BIPOC communities
- LGBTQ+ individuals
- Immigrants
- Differently-abled individuals
- Artists exploring social, cultural, and systemic narratives

​Accepted Mediums - Categories include, but are not limited to:
- Painting
- Drawing
- Mixed Media
- Sculpture
- Photography
- Metalwork
- Textile Art
- Wearable / Fashion-Based Art
- Performance Art
Note: Fashion and textile-based submissions are highly encouraged.
