There will be a private event at Washburn park this weekend both Saturday and Sunday. It will be where the dogs usually run free. Please be mindful of the event and keep dogs away from the event and on leashes. You can use lower field to let the dogs get their runnies out. Thank you!

These are photos of two vehicles that decided to have some fun. Although this is in the road there has also been damage to the parking area field that most likely needs to be repaired. We might say the driver in the white pickup could have been responsible or the driver in the blue pickup. A lot of work and plantings have been done for the spring. The trust is working at beautification and does not need to be repairing damage done by inconsiderate people.

Yesterday 6/24/2023 @ 12:47 the driver of the car thought it would be fun to tear up the drive and lawn. The Marion DPW and the Washburn Trust work hard to maintain the property and the last thing we need is having this happen. Next weekend is the Marion Horse Show and we will be working to get the property ready. Ruts in the lawn make for difficult mowing. A copy of the video will also be given to Marion PD.

Our kiosk has been updated.
A big thank you to Torsten Brickley, a student at ORRHS, who has worked hard mapping and marking trails in an effort to achieve his Eagle Scout badge. You will see a sheet with QR symbols. Photo below. Each code maps out a trail of various distances. When you scan with your phone a yellow bar will show up, press and a map will appear which can be enlarged. Depending on your phone it may take a few moments to load. It works especially good if you use the free “All Trails” app. We are working on printing up the maps for those that don’t do QR codes.
