Prevent Child Abuse, Grant County believes the most effective approach to reducing child abuse and neglect is to maintain a network of volunteers to work on the behalf of child abuse prevention in our community.

Domestic violence affects more than just those directly experiencing it.

Children who witness domestic violence can experience lasting effects on their emotional, physical, behavioral, and developmental well-being. These effects may look different depending on their age, ranging from anxiety and sleep difficulties to changes in behavior, self-esteem, and school performance.

Recognizing the signs is an important step toward providing children with the safety, stability, and support they deserve. Every child responds differently, and healing is possible with the right support.

Phew, we did it! So much planning and preparation go into every event each year. It is a big job for a very small group of volunteers. We love what we do; we are passionate about the cause. Albert Grieve and Claire did an amazing job educating us, touching our hearts, and teaching us so much. We were excited to surprise Kim Whitehurst with the LaRita Gibbs Boren award and to present A Voice for Kids' Matthew Peiffer with our Champion for Children award. Keep doing good, Grant county!
