The Marion Popcorn Festival

I wanted to address some confusion out there directly regarding our entertainment. We have seen posts from people claiming they have been booked to perform at the Popcorn Festival. While they may have been booked to perform on the community stage or in the beer garden, there has not been any announcement on Main Stage entertainment. The Executive Committee and Entertainment committee are finalizing that as we speak, and we plan on making the main stage entertainment announcement hopefully at the first Third Thursday in May, or soon thereafter. The entertainment in the beer garden and community stages are booked by the individual directors of those committees, using their own allotted budgets.

Hopefully this clears up any confusion about acts performing at the festival. Heading into our 45th festival we are working really hard to make it the best one ever. Thanks!

On Saturday, November 29, Downtown Marion, Inc. will host the Lighted Truck Parade starting at 6 p.m. The parade will begin on East Center, turn south on Prospect St., and conclude near Founders Park, where the lighting of the Christmas tree will take place. While you're out, be sure to grab a free cup of hot chocolate at the Center Street Market (110 S. Main St.)!
