• Beware of AI-generated phone schemes that impersonate the through robocalls, voice mimicry and spoofed caller IDs. Calls with threatening, prerecorded messages are scams. Hang up and report them: irs.gov/scams

Ohio Heartland Community Action Commission (OHCAC) respectfully requests your assistance in sharing important information with the public regarding the 2025–2026 Winter Crisis Program (WCP). We would greatly appreciate your support in airing or publishing the attached materials to help ensure eligible community members are aware of this critical assistance.
The Winter Crisis Program operates from November 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026.
Please Note: March is the final month to apply for 2026 Winter Crisis Program benefits. We strongly encourage eligible households to schedule their appointments as soon as possible to avoid missing this deadline.
Important Information
• Customers are eligible for one (1) appointment hold on their utility services during the 2025–2026 WCP season.
• If a customer misses their scheduled appointment and reschedules via the automated hotline (740-396-8237) or online at www.capappointments.com, the hold will not be extended, and service disconnection may occur.
Interview Options
Clients may complete their WCP appointment either in person or by telephone interview.
Detailed program requirements and eligibility criteria are included in the attached document. Please feel free to use the version that best aligns with your organization’s format or publication needs.
All income-eligible applicants must schedule their 2025–2026 WCP appointment by calling the automated hotline at 740-396-8237 or by visiting www.capappointments.com.
Please be advised that call volume may be elevated during peak periods. This scheduling system serves Crawford, Marion, and Morrow Counties, as OHCAC administers HEAP, WCP, SCP, and PIPP Plus services exclusively within these three counties.

Please join us on Saturday, March 7th from 1-4pm for our Family Fun Day at the Marion Coliseum. There will be free hotdogs, chips, water, popcorn, and cotton candy while supplies last. Also, kids can enjoy bounce houses, face painting, and kid-friendly activities provided by our exhibitors. There will also be hourly prize drawings for adults and kids. You won't want to miss this!
