The Marion County Board of Elections is in need of more than 100 poll workers for the November election. You must be 17 or older to sign up. Please share! Earn more than $150 for one 2-hour training and your work on Election Day.

Poll workers are the backbone of Election Day!

Every election depends on dedicated people willing to serve their communities. Poll workers help voters, operate voting equipment, verify eligibility, and make sure elections run smoothly and securely.

In Marion County, our poll workers range in age from 17 to 97!
Whether you’re a first-time volunteer or a longtime poll worker, your service makes a difference.

We are thrilled to share that Marion has been named one of Ohio Magazine’s Best Hometowns for 2026–2027!

Ohio Magazine’s editors selected Marion for its downtown redevelopment successes and rich sense of history, including the home, presidential library and museum, and final resting place of President Warren G. Harding.

To determine this year’s honorees, Ohio Magazine solicited nominations and visited communities across the state, evaluating finalists in six categories: Community Spirit, Education, Entertainment, Health and Safety, Business Environment, and Culture and Heritage.

This recognition shines a spotlight on the people, places, history, and community spirit that make Marion special—and we couldn't be more proud to call Marion home!
