Our friends who attend the MARCA Industries adult day program in Morrow County have wrapped up their time partnering with the Mount Gilead Public Library and Children’s Hunger Alliance (CHA) to serve children and families in Morrow County. It was an honor and a pleasure to join forces with the library and CHA to give back to our community.

Over the course of the summer, we prepared a total of 4,645 breakfasts and lunches that were distributed to 929 children in Morrow County. This experience allowed our friends to enhance many skills, including teamwork, following directions, and staying focused on the tasks assigned to them.

Thanks again to the Mount Gilead Public Library and Children’s Hunger Alliance for allowing us to be part of this community outreach program.

Skills can be learned and developed in different ways. This week, our friend Dustin helped MARCA Industries Director of Contract Operations Matt Stone and Direct Support Professionals Manager David Sharp repair an office table.

Dustin likes to stay busy and help people so this project presented a perfect opportunity for him to utilize his skills in a meaningful and productive way. Thanks to Matt and David for providing this opportunity for Dustin.

Our friends at MARCA Industries in Mount Gilead collected pop top tabs that will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities. We'll be dropping off the tabs at Pizzaburg Pizza - Mount Gilead to help with their collection effort.

Thanks to everyone who helped us collect the tabs. We're always thankful for the chance to give back to our community and help out a charity that provides important services for children and their families.

reMARCAbly Made Production Coordinator Joe Schofield conducted a training session about making buttons for our friends and direct support professionals (DSP) on Monday at MARCA Industries in Marion.

Our DSPs helped our friends create the artwork for their buttons and then Joe showed them how to operate the button-making machine. Each of our friends who made a button took it home with them. The session allowed our friends to learn a new skill that they could utilize in a workplace setting or for their own enjoyment.

Our friends Tyler and Sabrina enjoy working alongside reMARCAbly Made Production Coordinator Joe Schofield.

Our friends Eric, McKayla, and Zach spent part of Thursday honing their skills in the reMARCAbly Made heat press printing production studio at MARCA Industries in Mount Gilead.

Working alongside reMARCAbly Made Production Coordinator Joe Schofield, they printed some new designs that reMARCAbly Made is offering for the Fall season of 2026. Some of these designs may be used on apparel requested by our friends and community partners with Ohio State Parks. Other designs they worked on may be used by businesses and other organizations that place orders.

The reMARCAbly Made production studios in Marion and Mount Gilead provide the folks we serve with great opportunities to learn new skills that they could utilize if they seek employment in the communities where they live.

Our friends Annie, Cara, and Amanda learned about budgeting their finances while shopping at Five Below and Dollar Tree on Wednesday.

They also learned how to purchase the items they wanted at the self-checkout lane. Direct Support Professional Danielle Stepp assisted them with their purchases.
