The Rec Center has a lot of fun activities planned for June!

🕑 June Hours: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM
🎉 Daily Activities Begin: 4:30 PM

Throughout the summer, we will also be serving:

🍽️ Late Lunch at 2:30 PM
🍎 Snack at 5:00 PM
Don’t Miss the Rec & Collect Expo!

We’ll have 40 vendors onsite selling: Trading cards, Video game merchandise, Toys, And more!

There will also be:
Games and activities for youth of all ages
Raffle prizes
A Smash Bros. Tournament for teens
Kids/Teens Cosplay Tournament

🏆 Tournament winners will receive VIP tickets to GalaxyCon in Columbus!

*We will have a schedule of activities for the day coming soon!

Yesterday, the Marion Family YMCA Rec Center was honored by the Marion, Ohio Police Department with a Citizen MPACT Award!

The Rec Center has been an incredible adventure and an amazing opportunity to serve local teens and families while working alongside outstanding community partners. We are grateful for the relationships built and the chance to make a positive impact together.

School’s out and summer is on it's way! ☀️

Teens in grades 6–12 are invited to celebrate the start of summer break with an epic Ice Cream Sundae Party at the Rec Center! Current 5th graders entering 6th grade this fall are welcome too!

🕟 Time: 4:30–5:30 PM
📍 Location: Rec Center

Come hang out with friends, enjoy music, and build the ultimate ice cream sundae with tons of toppings!

Participants must either:

The Rec Center Garden has officially been planted!

Our staff and teens have been hard at work preparing the garden, and yesterday they finally got the plants in the ground. Throughout the summer, the garden will be maintained and managed by local teens with guidance from YMCA staff. A huge thank you to the passionate staff and teens who helped bring this garden project to life! We look forward to teaching valuable gardening skills while admiring the flowers and enjoying the vegetables and fruits of our labor.

A special thanks to Smith Material Supply for their donation of dirt and to Tractor Supply Company for their discount on topsoil and generous donation of plants to help get us started.

We would also like to thank Marion City Police Department Officer Bartlett for helping the teens shovel dirt, and the City of Marion for approving the garden at the Rec Center location.

We can’t wait to watch the garden grow this summer!

Tap into the exciting world of stop-motion filmmaking! In this hands-on camp, campers will learn the art of Claymation from the ground up while creating their own short films using professional tools and creative storytelling techniques. Campers will have access to top-quality clay, easy-to use software, cameras, and a fun, engaging curriculum designed to turn anyone into a filmmaker.
