Marion County Ohio Bicentennial Celebration Marion County, Ohio is celebrating the bicentennial of its founding with a year-long series of events and projects to be held throughout 2020.

This page is a resource for sharing information about the various events as we celebrate 200 years.

The Marion County Bicentennial celebration has been completed. While the celebration was not what had originally been hoped and planned for, various events and activities were able to take place. Several of the ones that were not held, such as the speakers series and Digitization Days, will be held once conditions permit large gatherings.

Thank you to all who supported the celebration. This page is now archived. This will permit searches of the posts that were submitted but no additional information can be posted or members added. This is the final Moments & Memories post. Thank you to all who have read and shared the posts throughout the year. A special thank you to Ellen Messenger who created the scroll design and inserted the text for 366 posts. All the posts, as well as more than 275 pictures, are available in the Moments & Memories book with sale proceeds benefiting the Marion County Historical Society.
