Kelvin was a test subject in the first medical studies on meditation – conducted by Boston cardiologist Herbert Benson, MD (published in Scientific American, 1972). Kelvin also taught the first meditation classes at West Point Military Academy in 1974, and in the U.S. Kelvin learned Transcendental Meditation (TM) when he was 19 years old, and studied with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Kelvin began his ca

reer in stress management and teaching meditation in 1973, taught TM for 10 years and was an international leader in that organization. Since then, Kelvin has been exposed to many other techniques, and over the past 35 years has made his process of Turning Within even simpler, easier to learn, and more flexible to practice. In 1980, he removed all cultural and religious references from his teaching. He is a graduate of Dartmouth, Yale, and Boston College Law.
