The Playa Venice Sunrise Rotary Club is a group of dedicated men and women who believe in the motto "service above self." The join together every Wednesday at 7:15 am to enjoy each others company and plan for new and exciting ways to make a difference in the Playa del Rey, Playa Vista, Venice communities and beyond.

Playa Venice Sunrise Rotarians had fun cooking and serving pancakes to LAPD Pacific Division along with many community members. And Tony P joined us to cook the eggs! There were lots of interesting displays along with a simulator machine to teach us how to “catch the bad guy”. Thank you to our officers who put their lives on the line day in and day out to keep our community safe.

Playa Venice Sunrise Rotarians support our protectors! The club recently sponsored and participated in Protectors Appreciation Week to honor and thank law enfocement, firefighters and healthcare workers. Our 2025-2026Teacher Mini-Grant program was the best yet! The club hosted 21 principals of our local schools at the Awards Breakfast and presented 80 grants totaling $19,573 to our local educators for their classrooms. It was a wonderful meeting and Playa Venice Sunrise is very proud of this signature program in its 29th year.

Making wreaths for seniors, providing hot cocoa and treats for the community Holiday Stroll at the PVSR booth, serving a pancake breakfast for Westchester’s Winter Fest with Santa, elves and snow at Westchester Park and a gift wrapping party for our 5 adopted families has kept the club quite busy and brings warmth to our hearts during this season of giving! 🎄🎅🏻😇

Playa Venice Sunrise Rotarians provided Thanksgiving Lunch to 120 seniors at the Westchester Senior Center. The club threw in a little Bingo for some entertainment and had some Visitation students pass out Thanksgiving cards which put a smile on their faces. Many seniors spend Thanksgiving alone, missing out on the traditional meal we all take for granted and the PVSR Rotarians wanted to do what we could to brighten their day. The meal was great and everyone had a wonderful time enjoying good food and fellowship!

Playa Venice Sunrise Rotary held a very successful Pancake Breakfast fundraiser at Fire Station #5 in Westchester. Almost 500 in attendance and a whole lot of fun and activities. Thank you to our partner LAX Marriott for the cooking and food and our sponsor Los Angeles World Airports! All net proceeds from the event go to our firefighters and Fire Station #5!

The motto of Playa Venice Sunrise Rotary is the “Perfect Blend of Fun, Friendship and Service” and we have it all! Occasionally, we step away from our service projects to have a little fun! And our annual Summer Social did not disappoint as the club gathered for a lovely afternoon with fantastic food, music, dancing, breathtaking views and celebrating Bobbue’s birthday with friends and family!
