May the 4th be with you!!! While MAYhem can be exhausting for the average family, Cub Scouts Pack 770 in Marietta, GA - Tritt Elementary kicked off the crazy month with some crazy rocket building!!!! Some scouts even rocked out there best Star Wars shirts and costumes!!

What a great time we had with a casual feel and great learning opportunities on team collaboration, problem solving and most importantly dance parties, games and who doesn’t love some sidewalk art!!! Also, a scout is kind so we had to work on some top secret Mother’s Day crafts 😊.

Thank you for everyone’s enthusiasm - can wait to see our entire community at our Rocket Launch Saturday May 17 2-5pm!! ALL are welcome, register via our pack website - https://www.pack770.org/events/rocket-launch to let us know you are joining the fun!

Wolf Den 3 had a blast wrapping up the year with the required Council Fire adventure! Scouts built two models, one of their home and one of a community or organization building. We talked about what makes a good community: people, green spaces and access to different amenities. Then, we voted and made our own mixed-used neighborhood with green space as the focal point.

With kindness being an important part of community, Scouts made hygiene kits for the homeless.

Lastly, Scouts learned about proper flag care and how to fold the flag. We wrapped up with a solemn flag retirement ceremony in the backyard fire pit. It surely one was a great day to be a Scout!

What a special and victorious moment for our AOL's from Cub Scouts Pack 770 in Marietta, GA - Tritt Elementary to cross over to Scouting. The Arrow of Light is the highest award a Cub Scout can earn; it symbolizes the scouts' readiness to move on to Scouting.

This prestigious award marks the culmination of a Cub Scouts' journey, recognizing their skills and scout knowledge, as well as their commitment to living the Scout Oath and Law on a daily basis. As they grow in the Scouts of America organization, they lead with light that them and helps lead others through the journey to service and adventure.

I am a proud mom and leader of one of these amazing AOL's and feel honored to have watched these kiddos grow!

We thank Mary Walters for putting together such a symbolic event where each Scout had their own Arrow of Light plaque and each got to light a candle to represent various scout values.

We thank Chris Jordan for helping creating a campfire experience with some guitar playing and scout singing!

Thank you Michelle Roland, Jim Calvert, & Drew Lake for helping lead in this ceremony as well as for 6 years of guiding these talented kiddos through various scout lessons!

Thank you Tritt Elementary for continuing to be our charter, Tritt PTA & Tritt Tiger Foundation members for allowing our Scouts to partner in so many of your activities throughout the years.

We especially thank troops 431, 432, 2019, 1776 & 955 in attendance to help welcome our Scouts across the bridge with big smiles and new neckerchiefs!

While I am certainly sad the Cub Scout journey is over, I am so excited to see their arrow of lights continue to point towards success.

This past weekend our Tiger Cub scouts had a FUN meeting at Chimney Springs park and really enjoyed learning about how to stay healthy (especially during this time of year)!

We completed our Tiger Bites Adventure which leaves only 2 more left for the year for our Tiger Rank!

1. Eat healthy, well balanced meals
2. Stay active with good exercise (walking, running, sports).
3. Get plenty of uninterrupted sleep 😴 (which means keeping family pets away, no matter how cute they are!)
4. Keep good hygiene by following the proper hand washing techniques advised by the CDC.

We all got to share in some amazing fun but also delicious healthy snacks!

Ps the turtle in the pond definitely took the cake!

Two weekends in a row Pack 770 had 2 FUN events. Tonight we celebrated at our Blue and Gold banquet for the 42nd birthday of our charter to Tritt Elementary as well as our 114th birthday of the Scouting program and our annual Pinewood Derby the weekend before!

We started our evening out tonight with some healthy competition in tug-a-war and snow ball fights with socks we are donating to MUST ministries! We learned about the importance of scouting and the history of the amazing scouting program as well as hear from our new Cub Master Adam Obrentz about how scouting has made an impression on his family! It was also GREAT to celebrate our hard-working and fearless volunteers; without you we couldn’t have such a great program! We can’t wait for more to join the FUN! Lastly, we can’t celebrate birthdays without cupcakes!!

The previous weekend we had a blast at Pinewood Derby watching our creative scouts build fast and creative cars, and even celebrated the slowest car as it’s not always about finishing first!

Thank you Mount Zion UMC for opening your doors to us as we create memories to last a lifetime!
