Hello the mixer is today at 6:30 pm at fair oaks tennis center. Currently we forcast no more rain ☔️ but in the event it rains we will have food and beverages available at the event. There will not be a makeup date due to scheduling conflicts, we apologize in advance for any inconveniences this may have caused. We look forward to seeing you!

Another great tennis mixer in the books! My heart is full. Thank you to all the players, sponsors, and volunteers who keep this annual event a success. It means so much. All money raised goes to the endowed Christine Cardenas nursing student scholarship at Augusta University.

A word from our Charity Tennis Mixer director Mario Philip Cardenas

Hello,

I hope this email finds you well. This is a friendly email reminder that I have you registered for the Christine Cardenas Tennis mixer tomorrow Friday, April 22nd at 6:30 PM at Fair Oaks TC ( 1460 W Booth Rd Ext SW, Marietta GA 30008 ). I just want to say it is a pleasure and a great honor to have you grace my family and me with your presence and that your support means the world to me. Currently, we have 30 people signed up so it is going to be an excellent turnout! Also, the good olé Lord has blessed us with beautiful weather forecasted to be sunny and 80 degrees! Below are some of the gritty details, do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, comments, or concerns it would be a pleasure for me to assist you.

1. Registration starts at 6:30 PM

2. Warm-up and or grab a drink is 6:30 PM-6:55 PM

3. 6:55 PM order of play will be established and you will be assigned a tennis court and partner. ( Court placement is based on skill level/USTA rating)

4. mini-matches, expect about 3 to 4 rounds 7:00 PM-8:50 PM

5. 8:50 PM-9:00 PM Male & Female champions ceremony and raffle prizes

6. Each match will consist of 5 games total with no-ad scoring to maintain the pace of the tennis mixer.

7. court 1 will be the top court and court 10 will be the bottom court

8. After the completion of 5 games the winners will move up one court and switch partners and the losers will move down one court and switch partners. ( if this sounds confusing ask one of the veteran players they will help clear up any confusion. )

9. To maintain the pace of play tournament directors may prematurely stop a round of play before a match reaches 5 games in order to advance to the next round

10. Each individual player is responsible for keeping track of all games they win. At the end of the tennis mixer, whatever male or female player has the most games total will be crowned Champions.

I ask that since this is a public park you solo cup any adult beverage and drink responsibly. Please be kind and courteous to everyone attending the event since this is meant to be a fun charity event and honor our loved ones that have battled cancer. Remember no matter what that we all are winners at the 2022 Christine Cardenas Tennis Mixer. Again It is a pleasure to have you attend this year's tennis mixer, I look to seeing you!

It was an amazing night of tennis. Thank you to everyone who played, donated to the scholarship and sponsored the event. More pictures to come. We have a fully endowed scholarship in honor of our mother, Christine Cardenas. We could have not done it without this community.
