BALOO — Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation — gives Cub Scout leaders the knowledge and skills needed to plan and safely conduct outdoor Cub Scout activities and camping experiences.

The Atlanta Area Council’s Fall BALOO Training is coming up:

Allatoona Aquatics Base
$35 per person
Check-in begins at 7:30 AM

This is a hands-on, outdoor training experience, so you’ll learn by doing — not just by sitting in a classroom listening to someone talk about camping.

And let’s be honest: if you're going to spend the fall camping with Cub Scouts, you might as well learn how to do it without accidentally becoming the main campfire story.

🇺🇸 REMEMBRANCE: REVOLUTIONARY WAR 🇺🇸

This Sunday, join the Department of Veterans Affairs in honoring the men who helped secure our nation’s independence.

On Sunday, August 2, at 10 a.m., the National Cemetery Administration will hold commemorative ceremonies at 16 locations across the country honoring 49 Veterans of the Revolutionary War who are interred or memorialized in VA national cemeteries and VA-administered soldiers’ lots.

🇺🇸 Marietta National Cemetery is the only location in Georgia participating in this nationwide remembrance.

The ceremony will include a wreath laying, remarks, tributes and military honors recognizing Georgia’s Revolutionary War Veterans interred at Marietta National Cemetery.

Two amazing days at two amazing schools! 🎉

A huge thank you to Cheatham Hill Elementary PTA and Dowell Elementary for inviting Cub Scout Pack 675 to be part of your Meet & Greet events. We loved meeting so many wonderful families, sharing what Cub Scouting is all about, and seeing so many smiling faces stop by our display.

We hope everyone had a great time, learned something new, and is excited to join us for a year full of adventure, friendships, outdoor fun, STEM activities, service, and unforgettable memories. We can’t wait to welcome new families to the Pack! 🦁🐯🐺🐻⚜️

💦🌊 What a SPLASH-tASTIC day! 🌊💦

Yesterday, one of our Cub Scouts had an absolute blast at the inaugural Waterpalooza! From launching rockets 🚀 and diving into exciting STEM activities 🔬 to cooling off in the pool 🏊 and even trying canoeing 🛶, it was a day packed with adventure and discovery.

Some of these activities were brand-new experiences—opportunities she may not have had the chance to try otherwise. That’s one of the many things we love about Scouting: creating unforgettable memories while building confidence, trying new things, and having FUN!

And really… who wouldn’t want to spend a hot summer day enjoying water activities, making friends, and having one amazing adventure after another? ☀️💙

We can’t wait to see Waterpalooza make an even bigger splash next year!

🇺🇸 Be part of history. Be part of remembrance.

Many of today’s Cub Scouts weren’t even old enough to be in Scouting the last time the 9/11 Field of Flags Parade took place.

Now is your chance to take part in this unforgettable event!

Join us on Saturday, August 29, 2026, as we march approximately one mile and help carry American flags to create the inspiring 9/11 Field of Flags at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. Together, we’ll honor the 25th anniversary of September 11 while also celebrating America’s 250th birthday—a year to reflect on our nation’s history, resilience, service, and unity.

Whether you choose to march, carry a flag, or cheer from the sidelines, we’d love to have our Scouting families represent our community at this meaningful event.
