A huge thank you to all of our incredible volunteers who made this event possible and to everyone who came out to celebrate with us. Your support, energy, and community spirit made it a day to remember.

Jagannath Rath Yatra is more than a festival, it’s a celebration of faith, devotion, and togetherness.

As Lord Jagannath’s chariot moves forward, it reminds us that life’s journey is best travelled with faith in our hearts and unity among our people. The act of pulling the Rath is not just a tradition; it’s a beautiful symbol of collective strength, humility, and the belief that we move forward together.

No matter where we are in the world, this timeless tradition keeps us connected to our roots, our culture, and the values that bring generations together.

આવજો. Aavjo. Goodbye / See you.

In Gujarati homes, “આવજો” is never cold or final. It is said with warmth — like saying “take care,” “reach safely,” and “come back soon,” all in one breath. It holds emotions we often don’t say out loud.

ઘર. Ghar. Home.

It is one of the first words we ever learn. But as we grow older this word starts carrying so much more weight. It is not just four walls. It is the smell of your maa’s cooking. The sound of your dadi’s prayers in the morning. The feeling of walking into a room full of your people and instantly relaxing.

For Gujarati families in Atlanta, ઘર is sometimes a place. And sometimes it is a feeling you find right here in your own community.
