Pastor's Wives Tips to Success

As a Pastors wife you will have more opportunities to love deeper, forgive harder and be strengthened with might. In today’s world people are hurting more than ever. Everybody seems like they are walking around ready to just take something out on anybody, the Pastors wife seems like a great target. The reality is we really don’t know the extent to what painful experiences people are struggling with in their own lives. If people seem “mean” to you or seem to be short tempered then we need to ask ourselves what nightmare are they trying to wake up from to get back to reality? This does not justify bad behavior from believers in your church. Jesus commands us to love. Matthew 22 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Jesus said the greatest commandment is to love our brother as ourself. So moving forward, give yourself a “Heart check-up”, examine your heart for anything you may be holding against anyone. Be honest with yourself, if anybody has an opportunity to hold hurts it is definitely going to be us. People just can be unkind to the Pastors wife from time to time, lol. Keep in mind it is not always easy to forgive So for our sake let’s let go of all hurts and live a longer and healthier life.

Pastors wife: Never focus on your current situation especially when it is difficult. Fix your eyes on Jesus Christ who is your strength and power. Cast your burdens to the Lord and leave it there. This is not always easy to do but it works. He is the one who will lift you to a place of peace. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not in your own understanding but him in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path ! Remember the Lord hears and answers your prayers .

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Relax and hold no offenses! Let everything go and walk in love. Offenses only opens the door to the attacks of the devil.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers
us out of them all. It takes an insurmountable amount of "the God kind of love " agape love, to keep your heart right and love what you are doing! Being a Pastors wife is not being the most popular girl in the church not by any means. If anything you are the one who is frowned upon, scrutinized by others, subjected to anger, dislikes and jealousy all because you are the one. This sounds harsh and unbelievable but it is sadly true. Just remember women are hurting from violations, betrayal, abuse and lack of comfort, being a single mom, etc. Allow the God in you to continue to love the unloveable and forgive daily.

“Even if I go through the deepest darkness, I will not be afraid, Lord, for you are with me. Your shepherd's rod and staff protect me.”Psalm‬ ‭23:4‬ ‭GNT‬‬. Amen! Sometimes we as Pastors wives can feel like we are walking through the valley of the shadow of death every day. Remember that God will never forsake you nor leave you. He will deliver you with his out stretched hand . Learn to let issues and attacks roll off of you on a daily basis. Holding on to any offenses is not worth the pain it brings.

Pastors wives be encourage and keep your eyes On your assignment and not on the people. Hold hands loosely with the people and very tight with God. The people will come and go but God will always be there. Enjoy the journey!

Beloved, I wish above all things you would prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers. 3John 2. You. Are a designer original and there is only one "unique you" . Many can want to be you, mimic you, envy you or hate you . But no one can ever be you. Remember God created you to stand tall like the pine trees, walk through the storms of life and come out smelling like a rose! Jesus will never lead you to defeat, in Him you win!You have been created to overcome every test and trial in life. You will have struggles and storms will come but in the end you will always win"! Keep Jesus in the center of your heart! Enjoy the journey!

As a wife your husband did not choose anyone in his life except for you! So enjoy being the chosen one and don't let anyone steal your joy! People will hate you because you are the Pastors wife so don't give attention to people who appear to not like you. Remember God choose you before you were born.
