M25 Mission Camp

M25 Mission Camp "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me". -Matthew 25:40

M25 is a mission program designed to bring students together to serve God by serving others. Sometimes going out into all the world means helping those in our own backyard, and with M25, your group will have the incredible opportunity to help some of 20,000 peoples experiencing homelessness in Atlanta. Not only will students be able to witness needs, but they will also get to fill them. M25 focus

es less on manual labor and more on relational ministry as students get a rare chance to meet, get to know, and minister to people from a different side of life. They will bring hope to the hopeless and be able to walk as Jesus did as they seek out the least of these.

Today's is our girl Ivey Jacobs! Ivey has done lots of cool things like play with tigers, meet NeedToBreathe, and go paragliding. Ivey just left to go move in to COLLEGE at Georgia Southern, so good luck with that and have fun! We love you lots (even though your ears don't work and you can't ever hear us), and we are so thankful for your work at M25 this summer!

Today's is another new partner of ours, Nicholas House! Nicholas House is a transitional shelter in addition to scattered apartment sites for families experiencing homelessness. They work with families to shift into independence through earning a living wage, maintaining health in the family, and keeping a safe and stable household. Nicholas House truly works to keep struggling families in tact, and we are so excited to be able to work with them this summer!

This week, Gracie shared with us the impact that M25 is having back in our students' hometowns!

“I work with a girl back home in North Carolina who told me this really cool story. When she was thirteen she was abused, and when she was fifteen she finally decided to tell her parents… and they kicked her out of the house. She somehow ended up in Atlanta after that. She struggled for about 6 months while on the streets, but her family still would not let her come home. So after she had been on the streets for a while longer, M25 came and students ministered to her. So when I told her I was going to be serving at M25 this week, she was amazed, especially because of the impact M25 had on her life and the fact that she was able to overcome her difficult situation.” –Gracie, Session 6
