The below information is copied directly from the letter sent to all homes several weeks ago regarding the HOA Annual Meeting and other pertinent information.
January 10, 2020
Dear Neighbors,
The Overlook Annual HOA Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 6, 2020, @ 7:30 pm, and will be held at the Loring Square clubhouse (see directions below). This meeting is a great opportunity to meet other families in the neighborhood, as well as discuss current issues regarding the neighborhood. This meeting will provide you an opportunity to have your voice heard concerning items you would like to discuss, ask questions you may have, and review financial records.
As you can see on the dues letter, the Overlook HOA board has decided to increase annual dues by $25 to $425. We are still offering a $25 discount for those who pay their annual dues by February 1. Please know this decision was not made lightly. The change takes into consideration increasing costs from our service providers and a need to increase our level of service from our management company, All-In-One community management. This increase is also due to the inability to gain additional assistance from Overlook neighbors who wish to join the board and assist with neighborhood responsibilities. On that note, the HOA is currently accepting nominations for board positions. We are in need of new and fresh representation on the HOA board. Many current board members have served the neighborhood dutifully for years.
The cornerstone of any great neighborhood are those residents who live within it and their desire to make it a great place by their service and actions. The Overlook is a wonderful place to live, and we want to continue to move the neighborhood forward with some of the initiatives and ideas that have been discussed in the past, and that will be discussed at the annual meeting for the future. This can only happen with neighbors willing to assist in these endeavors. Please contact us if you are at all interested in serving and we can discuss further.
Contacting the HOA:
• The first, and best way, is to email us at [email protected]. This is an account the board members do their best to check several times a week.
• The second way to contact us is by posting on our page. Search for “The Overlook at Battlefield Park HOA”. This is checked much less often, but we do use this tool to send information out. We would love to establish a website in the future (see note above about needing assistance on the board).
ACC Reminder:
If you are planning to do any structural modifications to the outside of your house (roof, windows, painting, etc.) or the area around your house (fence, major tree removal, retaining walls, etc.), you need to complete an ACC Modification Request Form.
This form, and other neighborhood documents, can be found on our management company’s (All-In-One) website at; https://allinonemgmt.com/community/overlook-battlefield-park/ . Once this document has been completed and submitted to All-In-One, it will be sent to board members for approval.
We truly hope you consider joining us on Thursday night, February 6 @ 7:30 pm, so that we can work together to address and solve the issues that face our neighborhood.
Sincerely,
Chris Salter
HOA President
