The future is bright for the Marietta Arts Council!

The search for Marietta Arts Council's new executive director is over after the nonprofit appointed Kris Delaney as its new part-time executive director.

Still smiling ear to ear thinking about our community coming together this week to bring public art to Franklin Gateway. From wrapping the soccer fields in a burst of color to helping paint a sculptural soccer ball in celebration of the world’s game, it was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when creativity and community come together. ⚽🎨

We are excited to welcome Kris Delaney as the new part-time Executive Director of the Marietta Arts Council!

Kris brings a unique blend of arts, marketing, nonprofit, and community engagement experience, including leadership roles with The Woodruff Arts Center, the Fox Theatre, Cobb EMC, and The Branding Labs.

"The arts have the power to transform communities," said Delaney. "Marietta already has an incredible foundation of artists, cultural organizations, public art, and community support for the arts. I am excited to build on that momentum by creating new opportunities for artistic expression, strengthening partnerships, and expanding access to the arts. Together, we can continue to make Marietta a vibrant destination where creativity flourishes, residents feel connected and inspired, and visitors experience the unique character and energy of our community."

Exciting things are happening at Franklin Gateway! This week, we installed pieces of our previous bridge installations at the Marietta Sports Complex.⚽️

The Art in Our Parks Student Gallery is available for viewing through the end of October! Visit Elizabeth Porter, Henry, Laurel, Lewis, Merritt, Tumlin, Victory or Whitaker Park to see how Marietta's schools are cultivating the next generation of artists.
