🇺🇸 Georgia Wing Announcement 🇺🇸
We are honored to announce Lt. Col. Adam Davidson as the next Wing Commander of Georgia Wing, Civil Air Patrol! ✈️⭐
Lt. Col. Davidson, our current Chief of Staff, has served faithfully since 2011 in roles including Deputy Commander of Seniors, Commander of Gwinnett County Composite Squadron, and Group II Commander. He’s a Southeast Region Staff College graduate and holds emergency services qualifications as both aircrew and ground team.
A proud Norcross High alum, Davidson served six years in the U.S. Navy as an avionics technician on the E‑2C Hawkeye, completing four deployments—including Operation Desert Shield/Storm—with Carrier Air Wing 17 aboard USS Saratoga (CV‑60). ⚓ His decorations include the Naval Unit Citation, Battle “E,” Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, multiple Southwest Asia Campaign and Sea Service medals, and two Liberation of Kuwait medals. 🎖️
After his Navy career, he continued in electronics and now serves as Director of Operations at Quantex Industries in Lawrenceville. He and his wife, Kim, live there with their children, Lauren and Christian. 💙
Lt. Col. Davidson has earned numerous CAP honors, including Georgia Wing Senior Member of the Year (2022), two Professional Development Officer of the Year awards, the Air Force Organizational Excellence Award, a Meritorious Service Award, multiple Commander’s Commendations, Achievement Awards, Unit Citations, Red Service awards, and the Community Service Award. 🏅
