🚨 ATTENTION CADETS & PARENTS! 🚨

Hydration is mission‑critical for Encampment! 💧🫡
As we gear up for an incredible week of learning, teamwork, and leadership, it’s essential that every cadet arrives properly hydrated and stays that way throughout Encampment. Hydration isn’t optional—it’s a safety requirement and a key part of peak performance. 💪

💦 Before Encampment: Start Hydrating NOW!
Proper hydration begins 3–5 days before arrival. Cadets should:
- Drink 6–8 cups of water daily 🥤
- Avoid energy drinks & limit soda/caffeine 🚫
- Add electrolytes if training outdoors beforehand ⚡
- Monitor urine color—aim for pale yellow (a top indicator of good hydration)
** Arriving dehydrated puts cadets at risk for heat stress, headaches, dizziness, and reduced performance. Let’s start strong.

🫗 During Encampment: Hydrate Early & Often
Cadets will be reminded throughout the day to drink water, but personal responsibility is key. During Encampment, cadets must:
- Carry a full canteen or hydration system at all times 🎒
- Drink at least 1 bottle per hour during outdoor activities ☀️
- Refill at every opportunity—don’t wait until you feel thirsty
- Use electrolyte tabs or powder as directed by staff
- Report symptoms of dehydration immediately (headache, nausea, dizziness)
** Hydration is part of our Core Value of Excellence—taking care of yourself ensures you can take care of your team.

🛡️ Safety First, Always
Encampment staff are trained to monitor heat conditions and hydration levels. Cadets will receive frequent water breaks, heat safety briefings, and supervision to ensure everyone stays healthy and mission-ready. 🧭

✈️ Let’s Make Our Summer Encampment Outstanding!
Parents—encourage your cadets to begin hydrating now.
Cadets—show up ready, strong, and hydrated.
Together, we’ll make this Encampment safe, successful, and unforgettable. 🇺🇸
