⭐️A huge thank you to our first-half “all-male concession crew” — Curtis Doscher, Justin McKinney, and our Volunteer of the Week, Adam Smith! 🍔

🏆 Adam deserves special recognition not only for his hard work in the concession stand, but also for bringing his personal grill to BOTH of our home swim meets. Your dedication helped keep everyone fed and happy, and we truly appreciate all you’ve done for the team. Thank you, Adam!

📣 Honorable mention goes to our King of the “Boop,” announcer extraordinaire Dan Hoeller! After both of our bullhorns broke this season, Dan stepped up and took on the role of announcer and sound-effects specialist like the CHAMP that he is. We promise to get you a new bullhorn next year, Dan, but we are so grateful for your enthusiasm, energy, and commitment to the team.

“Take your mark… BOOP!” 📣🏊‍♂️

Thanks again to all of our amazing volunteers who make this team so special! 🩵🦈

⭐️This week’s Swimmers of the Week is all about the IM—the Individual Medley! 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

The Individual Medley is one of swimming’s most challenging events because it requires athletes to master all four competitive strokes in a single race. Swimmers compete in the following order: butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle. Success in the IM demands versatility, endurance, technique, and strong transitions between each stroke.

🏆 Graham Rogers - amazing job getting out there and giving the IM a try for the first time ever!

🏆 The Fallaw Family - Finley, Molly Kate and Lilly all swam the IM. Awesome job Fallaw Swimmers!!

⭐️ Great work to everyone who stepped up and took on the challenge of the IM this week. We are proud of all of you for your hard work, courage, and willingness to try something tough!

Congratulations to our 🏊‍♂️ 🏊‍♀️Swimmers of the Week, Browder Rowell and Nora Hemphill!

Both athletes have truly earned this recognition through their unwavering dedication to the team. Their consistency in showing up for every practice is matched only by the incredible progress they have displayed at our recent meets. It has been a joy to watch them refine their strokes and gain confidence in the pool with every race. Keep up the fantastic work, Browder and Nora—we are so proud of your hard work and growth this season! 🦈🏅

We also want to extend a huge thank you to our 🎉Volunteer of the Week, Will Heaner. Will went above and beyond for the team last night by stepping up to cover two full timer shifts. We truly appreciate the time and energy you poured into ensuring our meet ran smoothly—volunteers like you are the heartbeat of our swim community!

🏊‍♂️ Want to see where the real magic happens behind the scenes? We need YOU! 🏊‍♀️

We are looking for 1 or 2 awesome parents to help manage our concession stand for the upcoming 2027 season. Don't worry - you won't have to dive in headfirst without a life jacket! You don't need to be tucked away for the entire meet - we have volunteers to work the stand. We need help prepping and organizing.

We’re offering a shadowing opportunity at our next home meet this season. Come hang out with one of our coordinators (Whitney) see how it’s run, and get a feel for the flow (and the snacks!) with zero pressure.

Why join? It’s a blast, you get the best view of the team spirit, and our swimmers literally couldn't do this without us.

Drop a comment below or send us a DM if you're interested in shadowing or want more details! 🍿🥤

🏆All of our swimmers did amazing last night! So many PRs and kids trying events they’ve never swam before.

🫶🏻A HUGE thank you to all of our volunteers. Our meets could not happen without the hard work and dedication of all of our parent volunteers. It’s truly a team effort!

Thanks to Dan Hoeller for not only announcing for the entire meet, but setting up and breaking down the announcers booth after we got off to a slow start due to the rain. Thanks to Ginny O’Buck for timing both shifts of the meet.
A BIG SHOUT OUT to our Volunteer of the week ⭐️Alison Duncan⭐️for jumping in and learning the ins and outs of the Scoring Table for the entire meet as well! These folks stepped up and we truly appreciate them!!

⭐️Swimmer of the Week Ethan Carey who swam the 50 Yard Freestyle for the first time! Go Ethan!!

⭐️Swimmer of the Week Meredith Tilley who swam through an injury. You rock Meredith and we’re so happy to have you be on the team- not just as an awesome swimmer, but also a first year Rookie Coach!

⭐️COACH SPOTLIGHT⭐️

Hi! My name is Ainsley Rowe, and I am so excited to be a Chimney Springs rookie coach this year! I am a rising freshman. I love swimming and have done swim team for multiple years. Though I’ve never swam for the Sharks before, I’ve been looking forward to coaching this season. Some hobbies of mine include singing and running cross country and track. I cannot wait for this season with the Sharks!

Good morning.

Pretty please with sugar on top, declare your swimmers for next Wednesday's meet. It makes it so much easier for us when it's done earlier. When it's done later, there's a last minute scramble and reprinting, etc. Help us out 😁 You can find the instructions in your email or on the team website.

Thank you and Go Sharks!
