I would like to remind everyone about our annual Holiday Party at the Newman Wetlands Center on Saturday, December 6. It is potluck (bring your favorite dish!) and we will have a naturalist-led walk around the Wetlands Center after food, fellowship, and merriment.

As a special bonus, Charlie Seabrook and Ann Litrel will be selling and signing their new book, 35 Natural Wonders of Georgia to See before You Die!

Richard Ware, the creator of and main contributor to this site, has been in the hospital for the last several days with pneumonia. He just got out of ICU today. He is breathing better but still has a long way to go, according to his daughter, Allison. Richard is in Room 5331 at Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center in Rome.

I'm sure we all wish Richard a speedy recovery!
