The Georgia Botanical Society held its annual meeting and 100th anniversary celebration picnic on August 15th at Meeks Park in Blairsville. During the meeting, we held the election for our next officers. I'm excited by this group - the youngest set of officers we've had in the 43 years since I have been a member! Our annual Pilgrimage registration is open. It will be in Clayton, GA this year in celebration of our anniversary and our first pilgrimage being held there. Details can be found on our website by clicking on the link.

Pilgrimage Each year the Georgia Botanical Society conducts a Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage to a location of botanical interest. I would like to remind everyone about our annual Holiday Party at the Newman Wetlands Center on Saturday, December 6. It is potluck (bring your favorite dish!) and we will have a naturalist-led walk around the Wetlands Center after food, fellowship, and merriment.
