Congratulations to SFC McLamb, who took FIRST PLACE in his portion of the North American Inspectors Championship! What an incredible accomplishment and a great way to cap off an amazing week in Pittsburgh.

We couldn’t be prouder of SFC McLamb, our incredible Team Georgia, and all of our Georgia folks who represented the Peach State so well this week.

Chuck Pearson of ABF Freight System and Steve Elliston of Walmart are headed to the FINALS at the 2026 National Truck Driving Championships!

Chuck will take the course in 3-Axle and Steve in Tanker, each earning a place among the very best professional drivers in the country.

We couldn’t be prouder of these two—and of our entire Team Georgia—for representing our state this week with skill, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to safety.

And to all the champions who have earned their way to the course today—this is your day! You’ve put in the miles, the preparation and the work. Now it’s time to show everyone what the best of the best can do at the Super Bowl of Safety.

The final day of the 2026 National Truck Driving Championships is here!

After days of competition alongside the safest and most skilled professional drivers in the country, today the top competitors will tackle the finals course with a National Championship on the line.

To every member of Team Georgia: we are incredibly proud of you. You’ve represented your companies, your families, your fellow professional drivers, and the entire state of Georgia with skill, professionalism, and class.

TRAFFIC ALERT: FULL I-285 CLOSURE | AUGUST 14–17

All lanes of I-285 in Southwest Fulton between Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Cascade Road are scheduled to close this weekend, August 14–17.

All traffic will be detoured during the closure. Motorists and carriers should plan ahead, expect significant delays, and consider alternate routes when possible.

Scheduled closures are weather and roadway-condition dependent. GDOT will provide updates if the closure is postponed.

Please plan accordingly and share with drivers and teams who may be impacted.
