Serving multiple counties throughout metro Atlanta metro and surrounding counties, The Center for Children & Young Adults provides a home for youth who have been abused, neglected and/or abandoned by their caregivers. Our three-building campus offers a dormitory setting for up to 39 youth at one time in need of shelter, treatment, care and guidance. The Center operates four shelter programs which

include Open Gate serving girls ages 12–17, Another Chance serving boys ages 12–17 and TLP Prep serving boys ages 16–17 (a girls TLP Prep to come in the future). The fourth program is our co-ed transitional living program (TLP), Life Works (formerly Turning Point), for older adolescents ages 17–20. With Northstar (formerly Northside) Psychological Services on site, The Center offers individual, group and family therapy as well as crisis counseling for residents in all programs.
