Cobb county resident called 911 for assistance with her horse found down in the pasture on Friday Oct 24, 2025. Cobb County Fire & Emergency Services heavy rescue unit and LARG responded to the scene and firemen did a manual lift to assist the horse in standing and also rolled the horse to his other side to see if he could get up on his own. At vet and owner’s decision we left him to rest over night as he proved to be unable to stand on his own. The next morning LARG and C shift returned and we used the glide to get the horse into a good location and used the Becker Sling to help him stand. Thanks for all the donations that have provided the equipment to help aid in the rescue of Cobb County’s horses and large animals.
