Please welcome Margot Cohen to the GFC family as our 2026-2027 intern!

Margot is a second-year graduate student at Georgia State University, where she is pursuing a master’s degree in choral conducting under the direction of Dr. Deanna Joseph.

In addition to her graduate studies, Margot sings alto in the chancel choir at Shallowford Presbyterian Church and teaches private music lessons throughout the Atlanta area.

When she’s not making music, Margot enjoys musical theatre, reading, and video and board games. She’s also the proud dog mom of Luna, her 6-year-old Lab mix. 🐾

Fun Fact: Margot is left-handed and conducts left-handed! We’re delighted to have her with us and can’t wait to see all she brings to GFC this season. Welcome.

Celebrating freedom, unity, and the enduring spirit of America. 🇺🇸 Happy Fourth of July, and God bless America!

In honor of Independence Day, we're proud to share this special performance of The Star-Spangled Banner by the Georgia Festival Chorus. Recorded in May 2026 at Kingswood UMC, Bryan Sharpe's contemporary a ca****la arrangement offers a beautiful and distinctive interpretation of our National Anthem.

For this week's Throwback Thursday, we're revisiting our Spring 2026 performance of Grace. In this beautiful arrangement, Mark Hayes pairs the timeless words of Amazing Grace with the haunting folk melody known as The Water Is Wide (also known as O Waly Waly) to create something fresh and deeply moving.

Enjoy! And let the message of grace inspire your day.

Earlier this May, Georgia Festival Chorus traveled to the Emerald Isle for an unforgettable adventure filled with music, fellowship, and breathtaking scenery.

From Blarney Castle and the Ring of Kerry, to the Di**le Peninsula and Aran Islands, our singers experienced some of Ireland’s most celebrated destinations.

Along the way, we appeared in concert at St. Patrick's Church of Ireland in Kenmare, St. Nicholas’ Collegiate Church, Galway Cathedral, as well as an informal performance at Blarney Castle.

Our hearts are filled with song and fantastic memories. Thank you, Ireland! 🍀🎶
