On July 25, the Cobb Sheriff's Foundation, Inc., in partnership with the Cobb County Sheriff's Office, hosted the 6th Back-to-School Cobb Bash at Jim R. Miller Park!

Thanks to the generosity of community partners, including A 2nd Chance Bail Bonds, families from across Cobb County received backpacks, school supplies, and community resources to help kick off the school year with confidence.

A huge thank you to Walmart for your continued support of our education and community initiatives that have helped make this one of the largest back-to-school events of its kind in the region.

Thank you to everyone who helped at this event and continues to support our mission to strengthen educational initiatives, empower young people, and build a safer, stronger Cobb CommUNITY.

The Cobb Sheriff's Foundation, Inc., in partnership with the Cobb County Sheriff's Office, invites our Cobb CommUNITY to the 5th Annual Back-to-School Cobb Bash. This free event is dedicated to equipping students for success in the upcoming school year and connecting families with valuable community resources.

Join us Saturday, July 25, from 10:00 A.M. to 1 P.M. at Jim R. Miller Park, 2245 Callaway Road SW, Marietta, GA 30008.

Attendees can also enjoy:

• Free backpacks and school supplies for students and educators
• Free student health screenings
• A chance to win a free TV
• Free hot dogs while supplies last
• A variety of food trucks featuring sweet and savory favorites, including the Whataburger Food Truck
• Bounce houses, games, a community block party and a gaming truck
• Static displays from the Cobb County Sheriff's Office Special Operations Unit, including Mounted Patrol, K-9, SWAT, Motors and Drone Operations
• Hydration stations located throughout the event
• More than 50 community organizations offering information and resources on tutoring, youth athletics, educational programs, family services, and more
• A reptile experience where attendees can get up close, safely pet reptiles and participate in an exciting scavenger hunt

Recently, the Cobb Sheriff’s Foundation, Inc., was proud to sponsor and support a local community initiative that educated elementary school children about public safety, led by our Latino Liaison, Carlos Garcia, and Deputy Ryan Garcia.

The event was hosted by Rolling Tongues Tutoring, a non-profit organization founded and directed by Mrs. María de los Ángeles Morales. The organization is dedicated to providing quality education to low-income Latino children and youth.
