The initiation of redoing of Marietta's Main Street's sidewalks have been underway for years. We've been looking forward to walkable sidewalks for all, including American's with disabilities, who need safe, accessible sidewalks and crosswalks.

Just the other day we spoke with a local that would spend more time in our historic downtown area if it were accessible to him, as a quadriplegic. We're grateful that that day will soon be here!! ♿️

Scheduled sidewalk repairs on Main Street are still underway just waiting for the construction company.

The Market at EastPoint, a community-run grocery store in Oklahoma City’s Eastside, celebrated its 5th anniversary in May 2026 with decorations, giveaways, and a busy day of local customers. Opened in April 2021, it was created by RestoreOKC to address long-standing food insecurity in a former “food desert” on NE 23rd Street. The Oklahoma SBDC and Restore OKC congratulate the Market at EastPoint for this achievement!

Every step, no matter how small, in the direction of revitalizing our Main Street and Renewing our Civic Pride is valuable. Just as each abandoned building, neglected space, and thwarted attempt at improvement is an attack on the entire community and a burden to the next generation who inherit this town. The standards a town holds are the standards it accepts.

The Simplest Economic Development Strategy You’re Ignoring

There is no mystery to why certain streets thrive and others don’t. People are drawn to beautiful places. Not complicated, not controversial, just true.
