Mondays at the Depot all June and July! Come join us as we meet at 10am at the HOPE Depot in the Lighthouse! There the volunteers sort and prepare the donations which we get to deliver to three local apartment complexes. We have a blast meeting and sharing with our neighbors!

The annual Juneteenth Celebration in Marietta Square is Saturday, June 20th from 10 am-7 pm!

Our HOPE ww North River volunteers will once again be sharing thousands of free, excellent quality Black History books with our community!
Please sign up for shifts throughout the entire day, from the early morning set up time to closing time!
Come enjoy the celebrations and vendors, while meeting tons of neighbors and friends as you share these amazing books!

Our Birthday Heroes are the best! Each month our volunteers bring smiles to the children’s faces as they bring games, decorations, cupcakes, ice cream, candy prizes to Youth Villages in Douglasville! Four parties take place to celebrate the elementary age children having a birthday that month! On May 30 we celebrated three children’s May birthday by playing silly games which makes everyone laugh and join the fun! Thank you to our volunteers!

Thank you to Youth Villages, Douglasville (Georgia) for hosting an appreciation dinner for their volunteers and mentors! Fourteen of our North River Hope Chapter volunteers were able to enjoy the food, program, and receive a gift! We are grateful to support programs which make a life changing impact on children and our community!

Each month our North River Hope Chapter volunteers host birthday parties for the elementary age children at Youth Villages in Douglasville. On Saturday, April 18, the volunteers played a variety of games with the kids using plastic cups! The games have a way of making everyone laugh and enjoy themselves…even the volunteers! Cupcakes and ice cream are always a highlight too!

One of our dearly loved community organizations is Mission 1:27! Mission 1:27 does an excellent job in fulfilling the scripture, James 1:27, to the residents of the Walton communities. Recently our volunteers hosted a devotional time for the children at two different locations in which the children were challenged to see people as Jesus did. The songs, activities, and story, Zion Learns to See, motivated the children to make cards to be added to Care Packs for the homeless and needy. The cards will definitely be cherished by those receiving them!

Family Meal Sharing:
Saturday, April 4th
Delivery, between 10am-2pm

Since 2015, the Yes! Program has partnered with Marietta City Schools social workers to get meals to food-insecure households for Winter and Spring Breaks.

We're teaming up to provide enough breakfast and lunch for Marietta City Schools kids' Spring Break (5 school days). We will partner as teams (family group, household, group of co-workers, etc.) to shop for our assigned family and deliver on Saturday, April 4th between 10am-2pm.

Can't make the delivery on April 4th? No sweat; we still covet your help. Consider pooling funds together to get a family a gift card to Walmart, Kroger, etc. Keep in mind that specialty or more expensive stores may not be as accessible. You can donate gift cards every Sunday leading up to March 29th, which is a house church Sunday.
