☀️ SUMMER AT CIUDAD: A LOT OF FUN. A LOT OF LOVE. A LOT TO BE THANKFUL FOR. ❤️

If we could bottle up the last few weeks at Ciudad and send them to you, we would.

Because this is what childhood looks like.

🥋 Karate. 🤸 Gymnastics. 🍳 Cooking. 🇺🇸 English lessons. 🍕 Homemade pizzas.
🔥 Homemade graham crackers + s'mores night. 🎒 And finally… the first day of school!

And this year, there was one very exciting addition to that first-day tradition…
🚐 THE NEW CIUDAD VAN!

The kids made their very first school run in their new ride, and watching them climb in was one of those little moments that makes you stop and think:

Look at what this community is doing. They're learning.They're laughing. They're trying new things. They're going to school. They're being safely transported around the island.They're making memories. They're being cared for.

They're being loved. They're getting to be kids.

And every single one of those things is possible because people like YOU choose to stand behind Ciudad.

So today, We're just saying thank you.

Thank you for every gift. Every prayer. Every share. Every sponsorship. Every mission team. Every person who has ever said, “I believe these children are worth investing in.” Because we get to see the result. And it is beautiful. ❤️

Father, thank You for these precious children.
Thank You for their laughter, their homes, their families and the opportunity to watch them grow.
Protect them. Guide them. Give them joyful hearts and bright futures.
Strengthen the house parents and everyone who loves and serves them.
And bless every person who has helped make these ordinary, beautiful moments possible.
May we always remember what a privilege it is to be part of their story.

😎🎉 WE DID IT 🎉 $80,000🎉 BUILDING TOMORROW TOGETHER IS COMPLETE. 😎

Today, we aren’t asking you for anything. Today, we’re just going to celebrate.

Because something really beautiful happened here. Thousands of dollars in gifts. People who shared our posts. People who prayed. People who believed. One incredibly generous donor who gave $60,000. One gave $10,000. One gave $50.

And then, when we were standing at the very edge of the finish line, someone stepped forward with the exact $1,250 we needed to bring us home.

And together… YOU DID IT❤️ $80,000 raised.

A new van for our children. 🚐 New laptops to support learning and daily life. 💻 Propane tanks to help keep our homes running. A stronger foundation for the families of Ciudad. ❤️

But here’s what we’re really celebrating: Children. Children who will climb into that van. Children who will learn on those laptops. Children who will sit around tables in homes that are functioning because people cared enough to help. Children who will grow up surrounded by family. Children who will get to simply be children.

And when I look at what God has done through this campaign, I am honestly overwhelmed with gratitude. There were moments when $80,000 felt BIG. But God has a way of reminding us that what feels impossible to us is never too big for Him.

And He didn’t do it without you. You were the hands and feet. You gave. You shared. You prayed. You told someone else about Ciudad. You believed these children were worth investing in. And now we get to look at this moment and say:

“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” Psalm 126:3

So today, from all of us at Ciudad, THANK YOU. Thank you for building with us.Thank you for believing with us.Thank you for loving these children with us.

And thank you for reminding us once again that when a community comes together, extraordinary things happen.

That’s the tiny stretch between us and our $80,000 Building Tomorrow Together goal. 🎉

Because of this incredible community, we’ve been able to purchase the new van and we’re now just a final step away from completing the remaining needs of this campaign, including propane tanks and laptops that help keep our homes running and our kids learning.

🚐❤️ THE NEW VAN IS KID APPROVED! ❤️🚐

It’s the moment we’ve been waiting for… Ciudad has a new van! And we are so grateful to each of you that made this dream come true!

And judging by these smiles and kids running to see it, we think it has officially received the highest approval rating on campus. 😂❤️

This isn’t just a new vehicle. It means our children can travel around the island more safely and reliably to school, appointments, activities, outings, church, and all the ordinary places that make up childhood.

And today, there is a whole lot of excitement at Ciudad. YOU helped make this happen.

Every person who has given to our Building Tomorrow Together campaign has helped strengthen the foundation that makes everyday life possible for these children.

And now… WE ARE SO CLOSE. 🎉

Our goal is $80,000.

We have just $6,450 left to finish the campaign and complete the remaining critical needs including propane tanks and laptops.
