Kiwanis Club of Marietta Golden K (501(c)(3) Non-profit) Kiwanis clubs, located in 80 nations, help their communities in countless ways. Flexibility is key to a successful club.

Local Club organized in 1991 under the Kiwanis International Organization to benefit the Children of the Community and the World by providing financial support and direct service to build tomorrow's leaders. Each community’s needs are different—so each Kiwanis club is different. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. When you give a child the chance to learn, experience, dream, grow, succeed and thrive, great things happen. Service footprint: Service is at the heart of every Kiwanis club, no matter where in the world it’s located. Members stage nearly 150,000 service projects and raise nearly US$100 million every year for communities, families and projects. A family of servant leaders: Kiwanis clubs focus on changing the world by serving children, one child and one community at a time. To do this, many clubs also sponsor a Kiwanis family club—K-Kids for primary school children; Builders Clubs for adolescents; Key Clubs for teens; CKI clubs for university students and Aktion Clubs for adults living with disabilities—to reach more people and have a greater service impact on their communities. Traditional and not: No two Kiwanis clubs look exactly the same. Each member’s and community’s needs are different, and each club should look different. Some clubs are very traditional, with weekly meetings and a strong sense of history. Other clubs don’t meet at all, and instead hold meetings online and only come together for service projects. Newer clubs may follow the 3-2-1 concept: 3 hours of service, 2 hours of social activity and a 1-hour meeting each month. Clubs should reflect their communities and their members and should work to meet their needs. Fellowship and fun: Kiwanis members don’t just do service—they have fun. Members make new friends by being part of a club where they attend meetings and participate in social events. Kiwanis clubs also provide excellent networking opportunities for professionals. Members meet new people from all over their region and the world through service projects, fundraising and by attending district and Kiwanis International conventions.

We had the opportunity to hear the Presidential Address from our incoming President Adam Waller. He spoke about how far the club has come and his vision for where we're headed as a group. He thanked those who built the club to its current success and shared the knowledge they have to help it grow. It was very inspiring to hear his passion and excitement as he takes the reins and is ready to "Get Stuff Done and Have Fun"

Weekly Meeting 10/09/2006 at 09:00
Speaker: Adam Waller, Register Financial

Adam Waller grew up in Acworth, Georgia, alongside his younger brother, and now lives in Woodstock. He graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.
Adam began his career as a financial advisor with Edward Jones, where he spent nearly seven years before joining Register Financial, a move that allowed him to expand the resources and services available to the families he works with.
Community involvement has always been important to Adam. In addition to his involvement with Kiwanis, he helped launch the local chapter of ACAP (Adult Children of Aging Parents) in 2023, an organization dedicated to providing education and resources to families navigating the challenges of caring for aging loved ones.
Outside of work and community service, Adam enjoys exercising, playing golf, traveling, and just about anything involving a little friendly competition.

On September 16th, 2026, the Kiwanis Club of Marietta Golden K and The Kiwanis Club of Lost
Mountain held their Annual Youth Charity Golf Tournament at the BridgeMill Athletic Clubin Canton, Georgia. For the past 31 years, the two Kiwanis clubs have hosted this most successful golf tournament, which has become known as the “Tee It Up for the Kids” tournament. Since 1995, the clubs have raised over $1,000,000 for kids.
Thanks to the generosity of many, this Kiwanis youth charity golf tournament for 2026 was very successful. Over 120 companies and individuals donated amounts from $125 to $3,500. Net proceeds of over $34,000 will be distributed to deserving youth charities and Kiwanis-supported programs by the two clubs as well as the Kiwanis Foundation. The slogan for the charity tournament has been aptly named “Tee it up for the Kids” because many Kiwanis-supported organizations receive proceeds as a result of the tournament. Combined membership of Marietta Kiwanis Golden K and Kiwanis Club of Lost Mountain numbers approximately 130 members. Over 10,000 hours of community service were volunteered last year. The focus of Kiwanis is to support and develop international, national
and local youth programs. Our clubs actively sponsor Circle K clubs at the college level, Key Clubs at the high school level, Builders clubs at the Middle school level, Aktion clubs for kids
with disabilities, Terrific Kids, BUGS (Bring Up Grades), K-kids programs, Silver Pen writing contest in elementary schools and reading programs to many area schools.

We had a powerful, packed meeting where we recognized many for their efforts over the last year and ongoing. We also welcomed a change in leadership, where the outgoing leaders introduced the incoming leaders in a ceremonial fashion.
