We had our American Legion 107th Birthday celebration at our meeting Tuesday evening. But the celebration got a gift from a Baseball Coach that wanted to coach Legion Baseball. Still got a few things to work out, but looks like Marietta is going to try and field an American Legion Baseball Team.

Last night at our monthly meeting we were approached by Mr Trent Daniels
He's wanting to bring American Legion Baseball Team to Marietta Oklahoma. The post unanimously voted for it. More to come.

Burch Brothers American Legion Family in observance of Veterans Day will be Posting Flags on Veterans Grave site at Lakeview and Prairieview Cemeteries 8:30 8 November. If you would like to help just call Woody Alexander 580-276-5602 or Allen Woody 580-276-7067, or just show up.
Veterans Day at 1000 11 November the Burch Brothers Family and Honor Guard Team will perform Honors to include Riffle Salute along with Taps. The location will be at the Pavilion in the middle of the Cemetery. All are invited.

We had a great turnout at the Marietta Love County Frontier Days Halloween Bash. The Jr Auxiliary and SAL were also there giving out candy.

I know it has been a long time for me to post anything. Our membership investments are due. Please send your investment to me so I can send it up to Department. Our goal this year is 25 members, so if you know of anyone under 18 or over 18 please have them come to a meeting we will welcome them. We are participating in the Halloween Bash handing out candy coming up this Saturday October 26, 2024 from 6-8:30pm. If you want to help we will try and set up in front of the courthouse. Please bring 2 bags of candy if you are able to. We are also having our Thanksgiving get together on November 19, 2024. It will be at the First Baptist Church in Marietta. Bring a potluck dish to help us celebrate Thanksgiving with all our members. It will be at our normal time for meetings it will start at 5pm. Please let us know what you are bringing so we don't have too much of the same thing. Hope to see you at our next meeting or at the Halloween Bash!!!!

Today members of the Family Post 136 helped the Love County Senior Program and INCA. We helped give out fresh fruit and Vegetables to the Marietta Community.

The American Legion/Auxiliary and SAL will be setting up a booth at The Summer Sidewalk Sale in Marietta OK on July 13, 2024. We will be having a bake sale for a fundraiser. Come join us!!!
