Day 4 of the FL FFA State Convention is so busy we will need 2 posts to cover it all! This morning Meghan Beebe and Addison Hussey were recognized for earning the prestigious American Degree. These ladies will receive their golden American Degree charm in October at National FFA Convention. Additionally, a record 9 Marianna Ffa members earned their State FFA Degree. Rhett Bethea, Clifton Cooper, Ethan Dean, Madelin Garcia, Andy Nguyen, Emma Poole, Branden Spooner, Stephen Stafford, and Jordan Wooten are the Senior members that were honored in the State Degree Ceremony today. Hollister Roberts, Steven Stewart, and Kelsey Rister were recognized for their service this week as part of the Courtesy Corp. Day 3 of FL FFA State Convention was a day for rookies and veterans. 9th grader Luciana DiLorenzo competed in the Spanish Creed Recital, Senior member Madelin Garcia was recognized as a Finalist for the Outstanding District Officer, and Madelin addressed the Convention assembly to challenge each and every member to "Live in Color". Additionally, CTE Director Chris Franklin and MHS AG Teacher Charlene Batton Beebe were able to meet with Commissioner of Agriculture Wilton Simpson to thank him for FDACS' support of the Marianna Schools Land Lab project.
