Jackson County Professional Firefighters Local 3043 Jackson County Fire Rescue has been an affiliate of the IAFF since February 2, 1986. Today we have 20 active members. We encourage all employees of JCFR to join.

With the current numbers, the IAFF union members counts for over 50% of JCFRs’ employees.

🎟️ R***E RAFFLE FOR CHASE MADDOX 🎟️

Jackson County Firefighters Local 3043 is proud to host a r***e raffle benefiting JCFR Firefighter/Medic Chase Maddox and his family as he continues his recovery.

The winner will receive a Howa Mini Action Fenceline 6mm ARC r***e package supplied by Crosshairs of Marianna, including a Hawke Vantage scope, Warne scope rail, and Hawke scope rings.

On September 11, 2001, our country witnessed unimaginable loss. In the middle of the smoke, confusion, and destruction, first responders did what they were trained to do—they went in. Firefighters climbed toward the danger carrying nearly 100 pounds of equipment, knowing people above them were depending on their help.

For the fire service, September 11 is more than a date in history. It is a reminder of the risks that come with answering the call and the responsibility we carry to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The loss did not end that day. In the years since, hundreds more responders have died from cancers and other illnesses connected to their work at Ground Zero. Families, departments, and communities continue to feel the effects.

Today, Jackson County Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 3043 remembers every life lost, every responder who answered the call, and every family that has carried this loss for the past 25 years.

Their sacrifice remains part of the fire service and part of our nation’s history.

25 years later, we still remember.
We will never forget.

We Will Never Forget. 🇺🇸
Twenty-five years ago today, our nation was forever changed.

We remember the innocent lives that were lost, the families whose lives were shattered, and the incredible sacrifices made by the firefighters, law enforcement officers, first responders, military members, and ordinary Americans who answered the call in our country’s darkest hours.

We honor those who ran toward danger when others were running away. We remember the courage, unity, and strength that brought Americans together in the days that followed.
Today, we pause to remember every life lost, every family forever changed, and every sacrifice made in the name of others.

May we always be grateful for this great nation, for the freedoms we share, and for the men and women who continue to protect them.

September 11, 2001 — 25 years later, we still remember. We still honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Update on Chase
We are incredibly thankful to share some encouraging news about Chase. He has finally been extubated and is now able to communicate with us. He has also undergone surgeries to repair his spinal and arm fractures. These are major steps forward, and we are beyond grateful to see this progress.
Chase still has a long and difficult road ahead and remains in the ICU. There were many days and nights when we did not know what the next day would bring. Through the tireless work of his doctors, surgeons, nurses, and medical staff—and through our faith in God—Chase continues to fight.
One of the hardest parts of this journey has been watching his two little boys try to understand why their daddy cannot get up, hold them, and play with them like he did before the accident. They miss their dad tremendously, but they are staying strong. We remain hopeful for the day when Chase can once again wrap his arms around his boys.
We cannot adequately express how much the prayers, messages, donations, and support have meant to our family. Every donation, no matter the amount, is making a real difference. The funds received have helped us continue paying for daycare, rent, utilities, transportation, and other everyday expenses while Chase remains hospitalized and unable to work.
Although Chase has overcome some tremendous obstacles, his recovery is only beginning. The weeks and months ahead will bring additional medical care, rehabilitation, and expenses as he works toward rebuilding his life and returning home to his children.
If you are able to continue supporting Chase and his boys, please consider donating or sharing his story. Even if you are unable to give financially, sharing this fundraiser and continuing to pray for Chase and his family means more than words can express.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing beside Chase during the fight of his life. Please continue to keep him and his boys in your prayers. We will continue providing updates as his recovery progresses.

Jackson County Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 3043 is hosting a BBQ fundraiser to support our brother, Firefighter/Paramedic Chase Maddox, and his family as he continues down the long road to recovery. Every meal purchased, donation made, and share of this post will help ease the financial burden on Chase and his family during this difficult time.
