We are teaming up to offer 1,000 FREE Thanksgiving Dinners to the Community & anyone in need. We will have enough food to feed everyone that wants a dinner. This will take place at Madison Park 11am-1pm or until food runs out on Thanksgiving Day!! Again come spend Thanksgiving with us.

At today’s Board meeting, we proudly recognized several outstanding employees who exemplify dedication, leadership, and heart for our community.

💫 20 Years of Service – Allen Biggs
Since 2005, Allen has been a steady force in the Building Division, serving as Building Official in Community Development. Known for his cheerful personality and good humor, Allen is also a devoted husband, father, and grandfather of twelve. Guided by strong faith, he ensures safety and fairness in every inspection, leading with integrity and compassion.

🚒 5 Years of Service – Aron Schaus
Paramedic/Firefighter with Jackson County Fire Rescue, Aron lives up to her name: “mountain of strength.” She serves with creativity, courage, and heart, leading fire safety outreach and bringing compassion to every call.

🔥 5 Years of Service – Danny Jo Morehead
A proud Jackson County native and Paramedic/EMT, Danny Jo’s positivity and passion for helping others shine on and off duty. Whether mentoring recruits or cheering on his favorite football team, he reminds everyone that we have the greatest job on earth.

🔧 5 Years of Service – William “Bill” McCrone
From the Facilities Department, Bill brings enthusiasm, craftsmanship, and contagious positivity to every task. His joyful energy lifts his team and inspires excellence across the board.

⭐ 5 Years of Service – Officer Jonathan Rister (not pictured)
With initiative and dependability, Jonathan keeps operations running smoothly at the Correctional Facility. His commitment and reliability make him a true blessing to his team.

Our President Davin Davison and Vice President Chris Chandler had the honor of attending the 34th Annual Chipola Quail Calcutta dinner and hunt this week. It was a great experience to speak with local and state leaders while supporting Chipola!!

Keep your phones charged as it's possible that locations could lose power in advance of the squall line given the very strong winds ahead of the severe threat. Make sure you have multiple ways to receive weather information through the event, and turn on "Wireless Emergency Alerts" on your phone (aka Emergency Alerts"), that is one way you can receive tornado warnings! Additionally, when you wake up in the morning, the first thing you should do is check on the progress of the storm!
