💙 A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Local Treatment Providers 💙

Fellowship RCO would like to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to all of our local treatment providers and every person who works within them.

We know the work you do isn’t always easy. It can be exhausting, challenging, and sometimes feel like an uphill battle. But every day, you show up. You listen. You care. You advocate. You encourage. And most importantly, you help people believe that change and recovery are possible.

The meaningful difference you make in people’s lives is immeasurable. You are there for people during some of the hardest moments of their lives, and the impact of that support can last a lifetime.

We also know that you probably don’t hear it nearly enough: you are appreciated. Your dedication matters. Your compassion matters. Your patience matters. And the work you do matters.

From all of us at Fellowship RCO, thank you for everything you do for our community and for the people you serve. We are grateful to work alongside you and proud to call you partners in this important work. 💙

Awareness leads to action, and action can save lives.

Fellowship Recovery Community Organization is proud to support the Broward Sheriff’s Office and their upcoming Domestic Violence Workshop: Awareness to Action.

Domestic violence, mental health challenges, and substance misuse can sometimes intersect, making it especially important that our community knows how to identify the signs of abuse and substance misuse, respond safely, and connect people with the right support and resources.

Location: Tamarac Community Center

We encourage our community to attend, learn, ask questions, and share this information. The more we understand the signs and available resources, the better prepared we are to support someone who may be struggling.

This week, Fellowship Recovery Community Organization recognizes Mental Illness Awareness Week. 💚

Mental health and recovery often go hand in hand, and no one should ever feel ashamed for asking for help. This week is an opportunity to continue breaking down stigma, having honest conversations, and reminding people that support is available.

At Fellowship RCO, we believe in the power of lived experience, peer support, and meeting people where they are. Sometimes simply having someone who understands, listens without judgment, and walks alongside you can make all the difference.

Let’s continue creating a community where people feel supported, heard, and hopeful.

What brought you a feeling Hope this week?

For me, it was seeing this beautiful rainbow on a particularly challenging day. Gave me a moment to pause, think outside of my current painful situation, and refocus on finding solutions. Today it will be a drive in the mountains to see the fall leaves. 🍁

💗 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 💗

Fellowship Recovery Community Organization stands in support of everyone whose life has been impacted by breast cancer.

This month, we honor the survivors, remember those we have lost, and stand beside those who are currently fighting. We also recognize the families, friends, caregivers, and communities who provide strength and support throughout the journey.

Recovery and healing can take many forms, but no one should have to walk through difficult times alone. Let’s continue to encourage one another, raise awareness, and remind the people around us about the importance of early detection and routine screenings.

💫 As Recovery Month comes to an end, we want to take a moment to honor every person who continues to choose recovery, one day at a time.

Recovery is not a destination, and it is not always a straight line. It is about growth, resilience, second chances, and having the courage to keep moving forward.

To everyone in recovery, the families who continue to support them, the peer specialists, recovery organizations, treatment providers, first responders, community partners, and everyone who works every day to make recovery possible, thank you! 💖

And to the person who is still struggling, thinking about getting into recovery, or wondering if a different life is possible: you are not alone, and it is never too late to ask for help. You don't have to have it all figured out. Sometimes the first step is simply reaching out.
