An additional $100,000 was added to the CRA COVD-19 fund for businesses.

(Commissioner Antonio Arserio told MargateNews.net that elected officials in majority approved a second round of funding Wednesday.)

It's my hope that the CRA Board expands the types of businesses that qualify at the next CRA meeting.

Broward County to open Monday. There are many stipulations so I recommend that business owners and homeowners associations consult with their own attorneys.

Margate does not plan on being more restrictive. I wish all businesses much success on their re-openings.

Residents use good judgement. Wear masks and wash hands. If you’re comfortable going out do so responsibly. If a business is not following guidelines go somewhere else.

If you wish to stay home still that’s fine too. We’re all in this together. Stay safe everyone.

**CRA UPDATE**

Last night the CRA voted 4-1 to abate an additional months rent for our CRA tenants.

-Board Member Simone voted NO
-No candidates spoke or submitted a posistion on this issue.

MARGATE FIRE RESCUE – Margate Commissioner, Antonio Arserio, reached out to MargateNews.net with comments regarding recent efforts by the City of Coconut Creek to dissolve a 20-year Interlocal Agreement (ILA) between the two cities. Creek officials will consider dissolving the ILA at a Wednesday city meeting. Arserio believes that Coconut Creek residents have not been made fully aware of the potential damage brought about through dissolving the ILA.

"Please don’t play politics about the future of our residents and firefighters during this global pandemic."
