Today is waterway cleanup at Veterans Memorial Park at 9 AM

There’s always something to do here in Margate and this Saturday is no exception!

- Athletes will kick off their spring season at the Opening Day Ceremony at the Margate Sports Complex, located at 1695 Banks Road. The parade starts at 9 a.m. Come out to cheer on the teams while enjoying bounce houses, photo booths, and a DJ!

- Give back to the community by registering for the Broward County Waterway Cleanup at waterwaycleanup.org. This event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, located at 7044 NW 1st Street.

- Join us for an electrifying party as we welcome the band Classic Rock Therapy for our Sounds at Sundown live music series. The event starts at 6 p.m. at the Margate Sports Complex. Enjoy free admission and parking, along with a variety of delicious food options available for purchase.

To my family and friends. I have decided to sell my condo and move to Colorado to be closer to my kids. The condo is a 2/2 first floor corner unit in Oriole Gardens II, which is a 55 and older community. I have had the bathrooms renovated, Eddie and I replaced the flooring with heavy-duty laminate. Interested?

That being said, I have several large furniture pieces and appliances to sell for a reasonable price because moving interstate is very expensive. Most of the items I have had for longer than my 26-year marriage with Eddie DeCristofaro, so this has been an extremely painful process.

I am posting here because I have discovered that FB Marketplace and several other sites are not safe to do business on. I am trying private sale.

So, that being said. I have a china/breakfront cabinet, a beautiful glass top round dining room set, a split California temperature pedic adjustable bed, with two matching dressers and a bedside table in dark maple. The bed and both dressers come with beautiful hutches. Lastly, I have a stand-alone freezer that is perfect as an overflow storage freezer for a family and a full-size rolling tool cabinet that Eddie used when he was working on his cars. A nitro heavy-duty walker with a seat.

Another positive change!

Today, we had the honor of cutting the ribbon for our new Decompression Room, a peaceful space where our officers can take a step back and recharge. This room was made possible thanks to the incredible support from A Thinner Blue Line Organization. Their mission is to raise awareness to su***de prevention and provide resources for law enforcement and their families.

We’re excited to have this space to help take care of those who take care of our community!
