A look inside The Old Church building as restoration efforts continue to help preserve an important piece of Marengo history for future generations. The electricity has been added, the inspections have been approved, and the drywall is being installed thanks to a Community Foundation of Crawford County Grant. It has been a busy week at the 168- year-old historic landmark! Getting ready for the America 250 Celebration on July 4.

On May 16, 2026, the Community Foundation of Crawford County proudly hosted our annual Scholarship Presentation at Crawford County High School.

We were honored to award nearly $300,000 in scholarships to 22 outstanding seniors as they prepare to begin their next chapter. Their hard work, dedication, leadership, and accomplishments have made our community incredibly proud, and we look forward to seeing all they will achieve in the future.

A heartfelt thank you goes to our generous donors whose continued support makes these opportunities possible and helps invest in the dreams and success of local students.

The Youth Philanthropy Council spent time this past week spreading kindness and sweet treats!❤️🍪❤️

Our YPC members, Levi Richardson, Hays Ferriell, Wyatt Hensley & Devin Decker — four dedicated seniors from Crawford County High School — baked cookies and brownies before assembling goodie bags for the residents at Todd Dickey Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Small acts of kindness can make a big difference, and these students continue to show what philanthropy and community service are all about. We are so proud of these young leaders and their willingness to brighten someone’s day!

A special thank you to Brandy Stroud & Kim Pearson for coordinating the visit and to the staff at Todd Dickey for all of their help making it a success!❤️
