✅ CSEA Members Overwhelmingly Ratify New State Contract ✅
CSEA members have overwhelmingly ratified a new five-year contract with New York state, securing meaningful investments in wages, health care, workplace protections and quality-of-life improvements for more than 55,000 state employees.
The agreement, which runs through April 1, 2031, includes annual salary increases, health insurance improvements that reduce out-of-pocket costs, paid prenatal leave, increased location pay, differentials and allowances, and numerous other contractual protections and improvements designed to support state employees and strengthen New York's workforce.
This victory reflects months of hard work by our CSEA negotiating team and the strong participation of our state members throughout the ratification process. Thank you to everyone who attended informational meetings, asked questions, and made their voice heard by voting.
The contract recognizes the essential work our members perform every day while helping New York state recruit and retain the skilled workforce needed to deliver critical public services across the state.
