Florida Citizens Alliance

Florida Citizens Alliance Our Mission:
To serve Florida families by expanding access to personalized learning through high-quality, faith-based learning solutions.

Our Vision:
To provide real solutions that maximize student potential and protect children in Florida. Florida Citizens Alliance champions K-12 education reform in Florida. As a 501-c3 nonprofit, FLCA’s mission is to provide real solutions that maximize student potential and protect children in Florida. 100% of donations go directly toward the three pillars of our mission: promoting legislative a

ction, engaging local communities with our KIDS FIRST teams, and providing alternative education resources through our Liberty Scholar initiative. Without reform, students will continue to be academically, civically, and morally underserved, and our nation’s founding principles and family values will continue to be undermined. Our children are the future, and we must provide them with the education they deserve to thrive and succeed. At Florida Citizens Alliance, we understand the urgency of this issue and the impact it has on our children and our society as a whole. That’s why we’re dedicated to providing real solutions that maximize student potential and protect children in Florida. With your support, we can promote legislative action, engage local communities, and provide alternative education resources to help transform the future of education in Florida. Together, we can ensure that our children receive the education they need to become responsible, productive members of society. Visit our website for additional links and information: www.goflca.org

New national research shows student reading achievement continues to decline — even as more Florida schools receive top “A” and “B” grades.

How is that possible?

Our latest article exposes the troubling disconnect between Florida’s school grading system and actual student academic performance — and why it matters for parents, taxpayers, teachers, and the future of Florida education.

If schools can earn an “A” while students struggle to read proficiently, what are these grades really measuring?

Momentum is building across Florida as local leaders hit pause on major data center proposals to gather more information and hear from residents.

This week in Lakeland, a developer withdrew its hyperscale data center proposal after more than 50 residents attended a city commission meeting to voice concerns.

Hernando and Citrus are the latest counties to approve moratoriums, while several other counties and cities are considering similar measures. Nassau County has formed a fact-finding committee to study data center development.

As public awareness grows, citizens are becoming more engaged, and local governments are taking the time to fully understand the implications of data centers before moving forward.

Florida communities deserve transparency, meaningful public input, and informed decision-making when considering projects of this scale.

After months of awareness efforts, and coalition action surrounding the dangers of AI, a major federal step has now been taken.

President Donald Trump has signed a new Executive Order: “Promoting Advanced Artificial Intelligence Innovation and Security.”

The order aims to give the federal government earlier visibility into powerful AI systems before they are publicly released — a significant step toward addressing the risks AI poses to cybersecurity, public discourse, and privacy (including the safety of children and minors).

This is an important beginning to A.I safeguards— but not the end.

More protections, transparency, and accountability are still needed as AI rapidly advances.

The conversation is no longer about whether AI will impact our lives. It already is.
The question is whether sufficient safeguards will be put in place.

We’re Hiring! 💥

Are you passionate about protecting Florida’s children, parental rights, strengthening education, and advancing conservative values?

If you’re a motivated communicator, relationship-builder, or emerging fundraising professional inspired by mission-driven work, this opportunity is for you.

As Associate Director of Development, you’ll:
✨ Build meaningful relationships with donors who are passionate about protecting children and restoring excellence in Florida education.
✨ Connect with mission-aligned individuals who share a vision for liberty, faith, and educational reform.
✨ Receive direct mentorship and continuing education opportunities to develop into a seasoned fundraising leader.
✨Help secure the financial support needed to expand FLCA’s work across Florida and beyond.
✨Work in a hybrid setting at home and meetings or events in other places in Southwest and South Florida (more often to Naples, FL)

Who Should Apply?
We’re looking for someone who:
✔️ Is passionate about conservative, Christian values and educational freedom.
✔️ Has 1-3 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, sales, business, communications, or marketing.

🌴 Is based in Southwest or Southeast Florida (including Collier, Lee, Palm Beach, Broward, or Miami-Dade County) and is willing to travel when needed —primarily to the Naples area and throughout Florida—for donor meetings, events, and special engagements.

If you’re ready to help advance parental rights, educational excellence, and family values through meaningful donor engagement, Florida Citizens Alliance invites you to join the mission.

Apply today or share this with someone who would be a great fit for this role!
