💥 FLORIDA SALE TAX HOLIDAY starts *June 2-June 15, you can purchase Hurricane and emergency supplies such as flashlights, lanterns, reusable ice, radios, tarps and ground anchors tax free.

Flashlights and lanterns: Up to $40.
Batteries: Excluding automobile and boat batteries, up to $50.
Portable radios: Up to $50.
Coolers: Up to $60.
Tarps and tie-down kits: Up to $100.
Generators: Up to $3,000.
Pet leashes, collars, and muzzles: Up to $20.
Reusable ice packs: Up to $20.
Smoke detectors: Up to $70.
Carbon monoxide detectors: Up to $70.
Fire extinguishers: Up to $70.
Pet beds: Up to $40.

💥🌀Over the next several weeks, the City of Marco Island, Marco Island Police Department, and Marco Island Fire Rescue will be sharing hurricane preparedness tips, safety information, and important storm-related updates to help you and your family stay informed before, during, and after a storm.

A little preparation today can make a big difference when severe weather threatens.

📣🥳Come join the Marco Patriots at Crabbie Lady for our first FUNraiser of the Hurricane season! It’s right around the corner and we’ll be there to answer any questions you may have. Our own Dana Coote will be the guest bartender. Friday March 22, 3-6pm. Raffles, prizes, great music and plenty of merchandise!

A temporary Wildfire Smoke Refuge location is available for East Naples residents at Collier County's South Regional Library (https://share.watchduty.org/location/92922) at 8065 Lely Cultural Parkway from 1:00 PM EST until 8:00 PM EST this evening. Limited refreshments will be available. This is not a Safe Haven location and is not for overnight sheltering. The Golden Gate Community Center at 4701 Golden Gate Parkway remains open for evacuees. Evacuations have been lifted for Forest Glen Community.
Regarding the Newman Drive Brush Fire, evacuations remain in effect for the following streets: Stable Way, Newman Drive, Barton Gilba Drive, Benfield Road, and Le Buffs Road.
Residents of the following communities should remain on alert and follow brush fire developments: Sun Retreat, Panther Walk RV Resort, Forest Glen, Caymas, Seven Shores, Sapphire Cove, Milano Lakes, Hammock Park Apartments, and Azure.
Please DO NOT operate drones in the area of the active brush fire. It impedes the safety of the first responders and interferes with fire operations.

A Safe Haven for fire evacuees is open at the Golden Gate Community Center, located at 4701 Golden Gate Parkway, Naples, FL 34116, for those affected by the Newman and Beck Blvd Brush Fire. This is the only shelter currently open, and this shelter is pet-friendly. Please bring all supplies with you to the shelter.
For more information, call the Golden Gate Community Center Safe Haven at (239) 252-4180 or visit/follow the Collier County Sheriff's Office, Greater Naples Fire Rescue, and local media."

‼️🚨There is currently a raging fire burning near Beck Ave The Picayune Strand and I75 in Naples. If anyone is in need of help transporting animals the Marco Patriots are available with trailers to help.

Evacuations are beginning on the eastern side of Forest Glen including Loblolly Bay Drive.
Also - Motorists in the area are likely to experience reduced visibility due to heavy smoke. Use caution."

‼️‼️The Marco Patriots have deployed two trailers to assist with the rescue of horses I the area.

❣️The Marco Patriots are on the move! Winter storm has left thousands without power, trees down, roofs collapsed and dealing with an aftermath that they just aren’t used to dealing with. Our team led by Chris Hall-606 Storm Chasing is on its way to Nashville Tennessee with supplies and then on to Oxford and Rolling Fork Mississippi. Help is on the way! ❣️
