Marco Island’s Christmas Island Style wrapped up the Christmas season on Saturday evening with its beloved Annual Boat Parade. More than twenty boats glided through Marco’s crowd lined waterways, each one decked out in its Christmas finest.
Perfect weather, dazzling lights, and the energy of thousands of spectators created a magical atmosphere—an unforgettable finale to another joyful Christmas Island Style season.
With the parade complete, CIS volunteers now turn their attention to next year’s festivities, ensuring Marco Island continues its cherished reputation as the place to be at Christmastime.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the volunteers, sponsors, donors, and fundraising supporters of Christmas Island Style. Your dedication, time, and generosity make these cherished traditions possible year after year.

Santa and Mrs. Claus received a special invitation from the Christmas Island Style Board to visit Marco Island and enjoy milk and cookies with the children and visitors before Santa gears up for his big night—now less than a week away.
With Santa’s sleigh in the shop for its annual 14 million mile service, Christmas Island Style arranged a festive alternative: a helicopter pickup straight from the North Pole to whisk the Clauses down to Marco’s Mackle Park.
When they arrived, they were greeted by perfect holiday weather—75 degrees and not a cloud in the sky—and by hundreds of delighted children and families eager to welcome them. The joy, the excitement, and the magic of the season filled the park as Santa and Mrs. Claus stepped out to greet their Marco Island friends.
After cookies and milk were enjoyed with Santa and Mrs. Claus, it was time for the pair to return to the North Pole for some well earned rest and final preparations before Santa’s Christmas Eve journey.
But the holiday magic isn’t over yet. The Christmas Island Style Committee has one more beloved tradition on the calendar: tonight’s festive Boat Parade. This annual favorite will sparkle across the waterways of Marco Island, delighting children and adults who gather along the shores to watch the beautifully decorated vessels glide by in true island holiday style.
Christmas Island Style is a 100% volunteer organization, funded entirely by generous sponsors, donations, and community supported fundraisers. Our Committee works long and hard each year to bring Marco Island a Christmastime filled with joy, tradition, and togetherness.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved for once again helping create a magical season filled with the sights and sounds of Christmas.

In addition to the Annual Boat Parade on Saturday, December 20th at 6:00 p.m., the City of Marco Island Parks & Recreation has two great events--Movie in the Park at the Veterans' Community Park on Friday night and Cookies & Milk with Santa at Mackle Park on Saturday morning. Both events are co-sponsored by Christmas Island Style.

The Christmas Island Style 38th Annual Boat Parade sails on Saturday, December 20th at 6:00 p.m. You can view the parade anywhere along the parade route. The Esplanade and The Snook are very popular viewing venues.

Christmas Island Style extended its string of blockbuster holiday events last night with the Annual Christmas Street Parade—one of Marco Island’s most spectacular traditions. Marching bands, brilliantly decorated floats, festive boats, and an impressive lineup of nearly 70 companies and organizations filled the parade route with color and excitement. Wide eyed, smiling spectators of all ages lined the streets, while house parties and cookouts added to the perfect weather evening that made the celebration a true success.
Christmas Island Style is a 100% volunteer run organization that transforms Marco Island into a Christmas Wonderland each December. The season features multiple visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus, both street and marine parades, a holiday movie night, and an evening showcasing the talented youth of Marco.
Every event is made possible through the dedication of the Christmas Island Style Board and the generous support of the Marco Island community through fundraisers and donations.
