🌱 Growing Together 🌱

Last week, we spent some time caring for our Harvest Oasis Community Garden located at the Lee Health Healthy Life Center at Coconut Point in Estero, FL.

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers who helped wash down our Tower Gardens, replant crops for the next growing season, water our in-ground garden beds, and make sure everything was ready for continued growth.

Keeping a community garden thriving takes a village, and we’re so grateful for those who donate their time to help us grow fresh food and create healthy spaces for our community.

πŸ’š a HUGE shoutout to our supporters who make this work possible:

🌱 Veggie Village Community Garden Maintenance Day 🌱

Earlier last week, we held a maintenance day at our Veggie Village Community Garden located in Naples, Florida! πŸ’š

Our amazing volunteers helped water, clean, and care for the tower gardens to keep everything growing strong. After experiencing drought conditions followed by heavy rains, some of the plants have gone into shock from the sudden weather changes and will need to be replanted. Thankfully, overall the garden is doing well and we’re excited to continue preparing for another healthy harvest season. 🌿

A huge thank you to all our supporters of this garden. You all make this work possible :

πŸŽ‰ We want to take a moment to share how incredibly grateful we are for our partnership with Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee

🌎 For Earth Day, their team hosted a raffle and also made a matching contribution, raising an amazing total of $2,889.50 to support our mission.

πŸ™ŒπŸΎ This support helps power every part of our work throughout Southwest Florida β€” from 🌱 Nourish SWFL and our community gardens, to πŸ–οΈ beach cleanups, environmental education, and our upcoming πŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸŒΎ Cultiva Community Urban Farm initiative.

🀝 Their support goes far beyond donations. Their team has joined us at beach cleanups, helped support our early learning programs, and played a role in helping our three community gardens continue to grow and thrive.

πŸ’š Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for believing in our mission and helping us continue creating a healthier, more sustainable future for our community.

πŸ’š Thank you LCEC for all you do for us πŸ’š

🌿 Bloomingful Maintenance Day 🌿

πŸ’š This week our team spent time at the Bloomingful Community Garden located at Lee Health Gulf Coast Medical Center making sure everything is thriving and ready for continued fresh food production for our community.

During our maintenance day we:
πŸ’§ Added water to the tower gardens
πŸͺ΄ Cleaned and refreshed the growing systems
πŸ”§ Checked equipment to make sure everything is working properly
🌱 Helped prepare the gardens for another season of growth

These small but important efforts help keep our gardens healthy, productive, and able to continue providing fresh produce and hands-on learning opportunities throughout Southwest Florida β˜€οΈ

A huge thank you to our supporters for making these efforts possible:
