Today at 1 o’clock is a statewide tornado drill. Tornado siren will be set off at 1 PM and run for three minutes, followed by three short blast signaling all clear. Again, this is just a test.

January 24, 2026 at 19:42 Marcellus Fire Dept. along with mutual aid from Newberg Township Fire Dept. responded to reports of a structure fire in the 15000 block of STEININGER ST. First arriving unit checked on scene at 19:56. Heavy smoke and visible fire though the doors and windows. Fire was brought under control at 20:07. Structure sustained moderate damage, however majority of personnel property was saved.

The village hall and the fire department will be open as needed for a warming center.

With the possibility of the winter weather advisory; if the power should go out, the Village Hall will be open as a warming center for anyone who may need it. Wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving.

The 100 block of Main Street is blocked off. large gas leak. Please try to avoid the area “ Johnnys is not open for business at this time. Consumers is aware of the situation and is en -route to make the repair.  thank you.

The Marcellus Village Hall is open as warming center for Marcellus Village and Twp. residents still without power.
