🌿 Happy 100th, Marblehead Garden Club!
🌿 We celebrated 100 years of gardening, preservation, community, and friendship with a special centennial tea party at our annual business meeting. As we begin our second century, we’re proud to carry forward the legacy of our former members and continue our stewardship of the Lee Mansion Gardens, preserving them as a historically appropriate, beautiful, and welcoming place for all to enjoy.

🌸 Help bring the hollyhocks back to Marblehead!

With their towering stems and whimsical, colorful blooms, hollyhocks were once so common along Marblehead’s narrow streets and garden paths that they became affectionately known as “Marblehead weeds.” Long associated with the town’s historic charm and character, these beloved cottage-garden flowers remain an unofficial symbol of Marblehead to this day.

As part of the Marblehead Garden Club’s 100th anniversary celebration, we’ve launched a Hollyhock Renewal Campaign. Free hollyhock seed packets with planting instructions will be available at the Marblehead Garden Club Information Table during Saturday’s Plant Sale at the Jeremiah Lee Mansion.

📖 Celebrating 100 years of the Marblehead Garden Club

Our brand-new Centennial Cookbook will debut at Saturday’s Plant Sale at the Jeremiah Lee Mansion. Filled with favorite recipes, gardening tips, and memories shared by past and present members, this special cookbook was created to celebrate a century of gardening, community, friendship, and fabulous recipes.

Cookbooks are $15, with proceeds supporting the gardens at the Jeremiah Lee Mansion. Limited quantities available.
